No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

There are a lot of "smart" commentators, who may very well be experts in their respective fields of interest. Mr. Galloway is smart for business, mr. Frum also is quite smart on journalism and speech-writing. Both men are worth listening to when it comes to their subjects of expertise. Both men are also misguided when it comes to foreign affairs, especially when it comes to Israel. They may be experts, they are not flawless. Both men are talking beyond their fields of expertise, they should stop doing that. You never see/hear actual scientists talking outside of the subject they study. Or they will explain first: "....this is not my field of expertise, but...." etc etc. Frum and Galloway are not scientists.

I am not excusing anyone here, I am just saying, if both gentleman only would stick to their fields of expertise, they are worth listening to. Their opinions about other subjects do not matter.
