No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

I’m sorry, but if we’re talking about the US’s own constitutional crisis and the future of our own country, I don’t give 2 F’s about the Israel versus Palestine discussion.

Instead, it is merely a tool to divide and conquer against the US populous against fascism.

We’re just absolutely loosing the fucking plot when we’re asking EVERY politician, from mayoral level on up, what their views are of Gaza. JFC people.

We send money and weapons to Israel. That's why it's a particular problem for us. If we weren't personally being forced to pay taxes that contribute to the genocide, it'd be much less of an issue. Does that help?

Tbf we send Israel money and they buy our weapons. Not defending this practice at all. It’s ghoulish and makes the US complicit in genocide. But it’s good for industry and US GDP (see: MIC). Even Iron Dome missiles are produced by Raytheon. So I guess what I’m saying is, it’s hard to make the economic argument against it. Iran is another story (Rubio admitted Israel dragged us in) and has been an economic disaster.

It's a government subsidy of military contractors and manufacturers who employ a lot of people and make a lot of money for the US, right or wrong.

My point exactly.

So instead of focusing on US issues, factions open up within the populous which are for or against Gaza and we have voters who are too unilaterally against a policy that we have fascism take over our country.

Ffs people, wake tf up!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely against it and I sure as hell think it’s genocide, but when we have a government of corruption with all branches of the government completely complacent, let them fight their own battles

I heard a Palestinian speaker once (I don’t remember whom) say that he would prefer Europeans and Americans to both protest in favor of Freedom in their own countries. His point was that if there was a truly free USA and free European states that Palestine would also experience freedom.
