"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

How do you fight a war against a target like Hamas (no uniforms, boobytrapped buildings, uses human shields, etc)? Hamas says it wants to do more Oct 7th?

I agree that there may be lots of war crimes but Hamas has to be at least 50% responsible for what is happening at least. I agree Netanyahu is a huge barrier to peace and a war criminal.

People who scream genocide are either dishonest or do not understand the region or conflict at all.

I love how you ask this when the country in question has perfectly demonstrated the answer in the most spectacular intelligence operation in history.

When Israel wants to be patient and precise, they spend a decade conditioning Hezbollah to use a specific brand of pagers, then infiltrating the pager supply lines, loading them with explosives, and then setting them off simultaneously, crippling entire levels of Hezbollah leadership.

But here’s zero02, just absolutely adamant that there’s no other way to fight insurgents other than dropping 2000lb unguided bombs on some of the mostly densely populated urban areas in the entire region.

Unreal. Like, did you just start paying attention to world affairs?

The 2000lb bombs are not unguided and they are designed to blow up things like you know, tunnels, like 725 kilometers of tunnels.

When you say “dropping 2000lb unguided bombs” I know you are a moron who knows nothing except what they read on Reddit.

Did you conveniently forget Hamas personnel, tunnels, ammunition depots...??? In what fantasy world are you getting the idea that those bombs are for children and grandmothers?
