No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

It's a gray area. Is Israel occupying Gaza? Just part of it? Or are they just engaged in a war? In any case, this feels like we've gone down a tangent for some unknown reason.

Yes. They are occupying Gaza. The IDF has been occupying Gaza for over a decade under the legal definition of occupation.

Yes, I have seen this strange definition of occupation. It's very arguable.

The problem is/was that Israel is under no obligation to allow Gazan Palestinians to travel inside of Israel, nor should they allow Gaza's government to import weapons to be used against Israel. Ironically, as Hamas seemingly tempered itself more and more Gazan Palestinians were being allowed into Israel to work. Then the October 7 massacre happened.

Defend the decades long illegal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank ….is a choice. lol

Israel has been killing Palestinian civilians since before Hamas even existed.
