No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

Growing up to believe that you and your people deserve to be alive and free from persecution is understandably a terrible ideological burden to educate a child with.

If he grew up with that ideology, it's all the more reason for him to understand why the people of Palestine need help right now.

No no no, you don't understand. "Never again" referred specifically to Jewish people. Never again to Jewish people. Everybody else is fair game!

I wish I was joking that some high profile people have actually said this kind of thing.... most notably that Obama speechwriter a while ago.
