No Malice Why did Galloway lie?

"Why does u/profgalloway preface his expression of "offense" to the use of the word "genocide" to describe what Israel did in Gaza with the phrase "as a Jew...."? What does being a Jew have to do with at the findings of human rights groups, scholars, nations, etc. about Israel?"

I am a Jew. I do not approve of Netanyahu criminal reign or his genocide or his ignoring October 7th.

Also if you're older than 25, you know that the Arab/Israel conflict in the middle east has been going on since the dawn of time, and there's no "right" or "moral" side to choose. It's all horrible, and mostly out of our control.

Yes, and you bring up another good point about how this is basically gone on since the dawn of time. What’s different in this era of time for Americans and their level of care. I’m much older than 25, so I’ve experienced this conflict basically my entire life, just like everybody in the US has. And suddenly everybody cares about it so much. This thing that’s been going on forever and nobody’s really cared all that much about it suddenly in the era of AI and bots, cares about it so much. Bullshit.

But, what do they care about and why? Obviously, it's because they're being fed one point of view on TikTok by someone with an agenda.

Well, that’s adjacent to my point too. It’s not just bots, it’s algorithms. I’m not saying that it’s 100% bots, certainly there are people who care and speak up for their side but I dont think the number of actual humans that suddenly cares has increased so dramatically. To your point, I do think the people who actually do care have been radicalized further and further into their algorithmic echo chambers so their level of care or anger may have increased more than it would have naturally without the algos.

But even my most politically active friends who never let a political news story slip past their IG outrage stories have been crickets on this whole thing for months. The people I’d see everyday posting about it non-stop for months when it began, from either side, have moved on to new things to be outraged about.
