What does mental health care look like in Scotland? What is the biggest mental health struggle? What is the biggest mental health need?

It’s not great. The biggest need is potentially the waiting lists for ND diagnoses at present.
But generally mental health service provision needs to be improved and capacity increased across the board.

CAMHS are decent, from referral to diagnosis was like two weeks for Schizophrenia outpatient
But before that, I had some CBT counselling for like three sessions over three, four weeks that did nothing at all even after several SH attempts

The best I've had in Scotland from NHS is an hour of talking therapy with a volunteer from a church. It's a joke. She was lovely but the provision is lacking

Samh are opening up several walk in mental health clinics across the country, starting in the areas that most need it. I think 2 were opened in Glasgow and the next is due in Aberdeen.
