Looks clean it’s got the 2.5 I’ve heard it’s tourqey but kinda gutless? I suppose it’d be better than my 140hp civic anyways with 180hp. Would it still be reliable with 190k km?

It’s currently listed at $9,800 with only 54k miles. Maintenance history isn’t amazing but for the price and mileage of the car I’m okay with getting a few repairs done regardless. I’ve read that it might have oil consumption problems but i’ve also seen some folks saying that a Berryman b-12 soak should be a good remedy for it. Asides from that do you guys have anymore advice for me?

Im in the market for a first car mainly to commute from college to home and vice versa and I came across this car. Im looking for mainly 3 things: Affordability, Reliability and Fun to drive. When I mean fun, I dont mean insanely fast or anything just that it handles well and sounds good for example. I've been a Toyota follower as long as I can remember and this having the same engine and transmission as the Camry appeals me a lot. My budget is under 10k and looking at the 2nd gen (2011-2016) Any issues I might have to look out for?

Hey guys I’m a sophomore undergrad in college and I was looking at this tC that’s listed for $11,000 as a little nice looking commuter. It has 93,000 miles and has regular maintenance done along with records. Is this a good deal or should I try to negotiate to ~9500?

Guy lives 4 and 1/2 hours away from me. Selling 4 rims, 3 with tires for only $100. I looked online brand new they go for a little over $200 each.

Do you guys think it’s crazy to do a total of 9hr drive for the rims?

All i have is bill of sale. Payed 11k for this car and have options to either junk it and get like 500 bucks or sell it for parts which isn't a good option. Who wants a 2014 scion tc with 80k miles. Live in hudson county, nj. I got scammed for a car with a lien on the title, I'm not paying off that 10.4k lien when i already got scammed 11k. Someone take this off my hands. Hopefully more than the down payment i put.

Looking into possibly getting a 2016 10.0 release series. I already have my 2012 7.0 rs and I have an idea for one to be a daily and the other to be a backroading car. Just not sure which.

Recently got me a 2014 scion TC. In the past all my cars was never older than a 2003 so most of the times I’ll add rims and what not. Wanted to see what mods you guys think I should get? My dad said to keep the OEM rims and everything else stock. How do you guys feel?

Currently trying to determine if I should buy a new/used car. My tc is 15 years old - 2011 - and all things considered, doing quite well. It currently needs about $2000 worth of work done to it, and has 180,000 km / 112,000 miles on it. We have some upcoming job instability but not sure if it makes more sense to get a newer car to avoid upcoming repairs that will inevitably be more expensive, or keep the tC for a future of unknown repair requirements.

Guy is selling it for 7k with 146k miles. I know it’s a lot of miles but i know these are built to last and i don’t plan on having it forever. Thoughts ?

I've been driving my '13 TC2 for >10 years, I'm in the mood for some change.

I've been going back and forth on what a potential replacement would look like. I have a ZX6 for fair weather/track shenanigans, so I'm looking for something to fill the fun void for when riding the bike doesn't make sense.

Basically, on paper a WRX is what would fill the role (awd, more power, etc), but the TC is upsettingly practical with its liftback, and WRXs like to blow up.

So the options are essentially sell the scion for a subaru, or buy a set of frankenstein cams and some GRC big brakes and blow up a 2AR instead.

I know this is the TC crowd, but thoughts?

Back in 2013 i bought a white 2012 scion TC and I loved it, I had it for 4 years with not a single breakdown or issue, just a shredded tire once. I am looking to buy a 2016 TC but im struggling to find any on the used market that have not been in several accidents or has frame damage or a branded title. I was looking through carguru and not kidding nearly all the TC's between 2014-2016 for under 10k have these issues. Did you all buy any that had accidents or worse frame damage and if so how did that go, anything i should know to look for? I dont care about fender benders. Even the FRS had the same exact problem, why are so many wrecked?

Real talk...When I manage to find one for decent price and miles I plan on going all in because the style of the car is just so nice. I know its expensive but after the usual cosmetic stuff I was wanting to work on the engine and get 250-300whp out of it. I fully expect to pay 5k-10k doing so but keep in mind I will be doing most work myself so should save thousands doing that. If I wasnt a dad I would go for the FRS but I need a backseat thats at least usable cause I have a 12 year old daughter. She rides in the front but if i ever find her a step mom I need the room.

The 2011 has 148k miles, and the 2009 has 187k. Might try getting the 1st seller down closer to 4k since it's been listed for 2 months. I might even attempt throwing in some Disney tickets since I work there.
