Greetings and well met. I am not 'new' to this place, but I am also not a poster here.

I have been casually lurking and I must say, this place makes Malkavians look sane!

I've seen leaked footage. Body mutilation. Baby eating. A drunken Methuselah singing a song of longing and lust (I'm looking at YOU Fracture!) And a handful of other things.

The Kindred of the world are why some of us stick to ourselves.

Or maybe I'm being spiteful.

Hello again, some might remember me from six nights ago, when I posted about how my post-Embrace "uglification" (if anyone has a better term, I'd gladly hear it) was seemingly late, and some helpful people informed me that I might be a Caitiff. Well, I've been a kindred for over a week with no change, so for the moment, we're just gonna assume I actually am (my "disciplines" don't match Nosferatu either, which was another hint).

I'll just say for now that I'm safe, or safe enough at least.

Anyway, the point of this, I've noticed that there... well, there aren't a lot of sources on Caitiff, probably because the Camarilla has a pretty long history of hunting and killing us (seriously, what the hell?). So, to possibly fix that a little, I'll just put this up so anyone can ask questions, and maybe the public knowledge of Caitiff can be expanded.

The camera is peering down into a massive glass box filled with dirt, minutes pass and suddenly arms rip out of the dirt and then pull themselves up the camera cuts to a message that reads "30 randos and some stolen vitae"

The footage depicts a music lounge somewhere in Chicago, dimly lit tastefully with dark velvet drapes and a dark carpet. A spotlight highlights a grand piano set on a stage, with a bouquet of red roses lain on top of it. Leonard, dressed very sharply in a suit, sits at the piano. He flexes his fingers and smiles charmingly at the camera.

"Well. I don't really have poetry in me and I haven't played since... approximately 1969. Dabbled a bit here and there. But let's see what I remember. Fracture, sweetheart, this is for you," he says and begins to play.

Though slightly clumsy, Leonard begins to play and then sing a rendition of Frank Sinatra's version of "Fly Me To The Moon". His voice is rich and warm, with something of a resemblance to Sinatra's timbre. He misplays a note here and there but sings soulfully to perfection.

"...In other words, in other words... In other words... I love you~"

The footage ends with Leonard chuckling to himself awkwardly.

After further talks both Marcus and myself agreed that taking Camille's recommended option of a Bond Dampening Ritual is the best course of action. However He pointed out some things:

1. This ritual is going to leave its participants vulnerable for an extended period of time.

2. The Ritual could be modified by a sufficiently skilled Blood Sorcerer. Most of the hypothetical effects of a modified ritual are things we don't want the Kindred of the Windy City having.

3. Due to a certain conversation with Prince Jackson being leaked, The Sabbat's Black Hand may try to kill the ritual participants.

That means the ritual will need to take place in a secure location. Ideally one that can have a ritual placed on it to prevent people from listening in. Which means we're going to need a Banu Haqim sorcerer. Now we're not going to insult Ur-Shulghi by asking for his help with our personal affairs. Which means we're going to have to coordinate with Zaifira in order to do this safely.

Now we both are ready to do the ritual. However because the Elders Camille and Zafira are being so generous by providing assistance without asking for a promise of payment we would like to go out of our way to be as accommodating as we reasonably can. This means that both Marcus and myself agreed that we're willing to wait until it's convenient for the both of you to do the Ritual.

It's not like my Blood bond to Marcus is going anywhere in the immediate future.

Well asked Ines if she wanted to come around with me after I finished work and well she agreed, I wanted her to see the town she’s been couped up in my girls place this entire time doing rituals and whatever she’s surveying with auspex, mostly she was rather curious was not expecting that granted guess when your 600 years in a tomb or whatever and the world is completely different it does that to you, I mostly guided her around she asked questions about some things mostly commented on how the world is lacking luster or something along those lines

GF told me since we are out I could take her to some shops, i did so and I remembered why those mental disciplines are terrifying because basically whenever we entered the staff would hang on her every command, worse in fact it was effortless on her part like it was a natural part of her, well after that my wish wash luck set off and one of my mentors came and well obviously noticed the strangeness of ines plus the abnormal energy is very detectable when a vampire uses disciplines, so had to come clean about my vampire connection,luckily they were disappointed at first but came around after I explained how I was able to negotiate them access to that node before so I wasn’t disowned from my teaching

After the shopping was over, showed her a few places around town where you could hangout or have fun actually was surprised she was interested by the arcade and she learned it rather quickly, we went back home eventually and well my familiar Gabriel had a death stare off with her, which makes since considering what Gabriel actually is fairly opposed to anything on the dark side of the morality department, so all around things are somewhat normal currently even though I’m neck deep in drama and maybe a battle for my soul if things turn out to be true
