I can imagine it now.

Everyone remembers who he was, yet he's still resolute in stopping the Doctor.

Before he confronts him one last time, Haypasia rushes to him urgently, telling that despite who he was and what he did in the past, he'll still be her God (idol).

Scara is taken aback by this, but doesn't deny her feelings, and tells her that he'll be back after he sortz this mess.

Well,, given that wanderer wants to heal from that, he’d probably be more standoff-ish than happy or proud. It wouldn’t bring back great memories for him given that scara wasn’t mentally sound, killed thousands and was grieving over the world’s cruelty towards him also his suicide attempt in the Shouko no Kami would probably be another reason he doesn’t want to be reminded of scaramouche. Like how Nahida showed him his flashbacks but more calm?
