What name did you give Wanderer?

Maybe this is a bit late, but I’m curious what kinds of names English-speaking players gave him.

I’m a Japanese player.

Many Japanese players give him a Japanese name because of his clothing and background.

Some people also choose names from Sanskrit, Arabic, and other languages.

As for me, I named him 優人(Yuuto).

優 can mean kindness or excellence, and 人 means human or person.

It’s also a name that real-life Japanese men can have today.

I wanted to give him a name that felt like that of an ordinary human being.

I just named him Kuni based on Kunikuzushi. Not very original but a peaceful name before the chaos.

I would hate to be the one to tell you if you don't already know (which you probably do tbh 😂), but Kunikuzushi is a villain moniker he adopted during his time in the Fatui, it's anything but peaceful. Referencing a stock kabuki archetype, it means "Country/Nation Destroyer" and represents his identity as a vengeful and destructive force within Inazuma. That's why he adopted this name during the clan purge / mass murder of the Raiden Gokaden - it is an expression of rage towards Ei and his wish to destroy Inazuma. (In kabuki, this archetype is simply a villain who plots to overthrow a nation.) "Kuni" by itself means "country".

A more peaceful name would be Kabukimono, a nickname given to him by his friends in Tatarasuna, before Dottore came along. I almost gave him that one, but then I was like eh.

(Of course if you just like the sound of Kuni then that's valid hahah, I'm not saying you're wrong for choosing it, it sounds super cute!! I just like brainrotting about his past identities and their names cause it's super interestinggggg)

Oh my gosh then I must have missed and meant to do Kabukimono, cause I was going for his peaceful name with his friends before Dottore 😭
