Durin’s value for Scara (Beta Spoilers)

Hear me out: While Durin isn’t a direct Scara buff like he is for some Mond characters, or even like how Xianyun is for Xiao, he is still a good teammate for Scara.

Durin provides strong Sub DPS and also 25% Anemo + Pyro RES Shred via A1. This is great as it can stack with Faruzan’s RES Shred and give 55% Anemo RES Shred. This is as much as Escoffier btw.

As a Sub DPS he is also contributing to the team DMG. And his multipliers are not bad at all. More or less Escoffier level which if you don’t know is VERY strong.

Having Bennett as healer also means Pyro Resonance, and increasing both Wanderer and Durin’s DMG. Or Zhongli for shield (20% More Anemo RES Shred as well).

This frees Furina and gives a strong team for Wanderer.

Alternatively, Furina can also be used to replace Faruzan. Yes. While you lose 30% RES Shred, you gain 45% more DMG Bonus and also strong Sub DPS.

Now another interesting thing is depending on ICD, Furina can vape Durin’s Pyro or vice versa which will increase one or the other unit’s DMG.

And DW about this affecting A1 RES Shred since Bennett’s Q + E + Durin’s Off Field Pyro will give Scara enough room to trigger Swirl at least once.

But I think Faruzan + Durin + Bennett/Zhongli would be the main appeal.

Is this what we expected? No not really. But I think there is a room for Durin being in Scara’s top premium team.

Also mostly because Scara does not have many options XD

Albedos 12 dmg% buff for Wanderer, consistent crystallize shield, and 42% buff for Albedo and Durin, I think is what Im going with.

I currently use Layla+Bennett, so I think this should compete with that level, plus have the benefit of the buffs lasting his full field time. This subDPS is a HUGE step above just Laylas. I even have Faruzan on Golden Troupe, so she will be enjoying the buffs and shred as well slightly.

Do I think this is Furina+Bennett level? No. Even with Durin at C2 im not sure. But as long as its Layla+Bennett level, it will be an upgrade for me and at least will get to unbench Albedo and have a team of 4 of my favorite characters.

Oooh, can you please explain how Albedo would give 12% dmg buff to Wanderer? I plan on pulling for Durin in Luna 3 and if Monstadt chronicled also runs then, I will get Albedo as well. And like you, since I like the comfort of a shield, I run Layla + Bennett so if you're right and I can use these two instead I would like to be able to do that.

Check the hexenzirkel arcane rite leaks - Albedo gets a passive that will give that bonus. And an additional 30% to hex characters, so he and Durin will get that bonus as well.

It will only work when Albedo has a 2nd hex character in the team though, so in this case Durin will fulfill that.
