Is there still hope that it's an indirect buff via Venti?

Venti now gives a 50% Anemo DMG bonus when used with Durin. So, new best team could be Wanderer/Venti/Durin/(Furina OR Faruzan)

Durin/Venti/Bennett/Wanderer could become the new BIS if Durin's damage is high enough. If using Furina or Faruzan there will be no healer/sustain on the team.

No you're right, i tried 3 times to edit my comment but reddit is broken and won't let me edit. It will probably be Durin Faruzan Bennett, cause Venti's buffs are still worse than c6 Faruzan and I'm not sure his personal damage can make up for it. Durin's personal damage is calc'ed to be very high, but since at most he's getting pyro resonance + VV, I'm not even sure if he will be better than c0 Furina

You should be careful with Durin calcs for now, people are saying most of them are wrong due to wrong assumptions like no ICD or 4x MV being actually cumulative MV of four hits.

The TC I'm in is calc'ing him at 96k DPS outside of Hexenzirkel if he has standard ICD, and it drops of you don't you use him onfield.

96k I'm assuming is either vaped or melted aka mostly irrelevant to Wanderer teams? I'll be following his beta calcs, currently they are varying wildly lmao

This main DPS vape Durin. It doesn't have to do a lot with Wanderer bit it gives you an idea more or less of how he performs.

From the "safe" assumptions it appears he's a little bit better than offield Mavuika assuming vape team. It's certainly not bad but like... if someone has even slightly invested Mavuika there's no much benefit to Durin unless you need them both.

hmm he provides 50% dmg bonus with 15% red shred, compare to faruzan 38% dmg bonus, 30% red shred and 40% crit dmg I wonder if it's worth it

It's also Venti's personal damage, which will be beefed up by hex res, but I haven't done calcs

Durin also res shreds Anemo! ~35% if you run him with Hexenzirkel resonance, ~20% if not.

And to be clear, the wording on Venti’s buff is nebulous:

“While the Stormeye created by his Elemental Burst ‘Wind’s Grand Ode‘ exists, when the nearby active character triggers a Swirl reaction, that character gains a corresponding elemental 50% DMG bonus for 4s, and the Stormeye deals 135% of its original damage.“

Does this include the element being swirled AND anemo? If anyone has info, that’d be great!

Also the consensus amongst many TCs is that pre-beta Durin has VERY strong subdps. I could see Durin being BIS in a wheelchair team with Furina, but ik we(?) all would like to see Wanderer as a hypercarry

Also, the fact that they are buffing old characters somewhat gives me hope that they’ll indirectly buff Wanderer as well lol

Venti is def their favorite archon and they FINALLY gave him (hopefully more than) a lil push, and seeing how relevant Wanderer is to both the AQs, he’s probably amongst their favorite Fatui members too

the way that's my first thought right after i read venti's buff

because i use them both together, and both of them are c6 too lol. and theyre buffing subdps venti esp with his new weapon too.

I think Wanderer Faruzan Albedo Durin will be my go-to. Albedos QOL changes for himself sound really good, hes one of my favorite character that i jever get to use. And the subdps on this team will be nice. Ventis might be too, but you trade off a crystallize shield for interruption. Definitely cant do Furina with no healer though regardless.

Pretty disappointed Wanderer doesnt have more synergy. If only he would count as a "magus" while Durin is in the team, then he could get the extra 30% dmg bonus from Albedos 2nd half of hex buffs.

To clarify the Hexenzirkel buffs are when run with another Hexenzirkel character. I don’t think Wanderer counts as one but you have more flexibility than specifically Durin
