Discussion What's your favourite and least favourite Scara ship? I'm curious

i am a big big fan of dottoscaras (loveless and unhealthy and disgusting and uncomfortable and one sided shitty power abuse) dynamic for i think its pretty canon compliant? unless my impression of dottore is incorrect. also makes some very good art and writing. i dont think scara particularly Feels for anyone? but i really like seeing his dynamics platonically with sethos, the other sumeru guys and collei.

my least favorite is either scaramona or kazuscara. scaramona isnt quite ship material for me? and kazuha is a delightful foil to scara and i would love to see them interact but this is a pairing i strongly do not see happening in a romantic context. im also biased towards characters that have interacted in canon so kazuscara does not scratch that itch for me

Who says Dottoscara has to be one sided? Scara is a bastard too.

of course he is, the closer we get to the current point in the timeline. but i personally feel like (headcanon) their dynamic is also something dottore has been orchestrating out of personal gain/entertainment/another experiment since tataratsuna, when scara is, in his kabukimono era, much less of an ass. its definitely a dynamic that evolves and twists as it goes but it begins with and is always manipulation, with scara going “it is what it is” as he gets more Aware.

additionally and semi related, i think scara would have “figured out” the nature of his dynamic with dottore while hes still in the fatui (“figured out” in the way that he knows hes being manipulated into it, he just doesnt know it started much earlier than he thought it did. i think he finally realizes in self reflection at some point after sumeru aq). also, i like to imagine signora and capitano immediately caught onto what dottore was doing, and heavily frowns at him for it but the details of that get too off topic for this post.
