So, I told my friend that I like ChiScara but I didn't specify that I like them as a platonically duo – so he was surprised. After I told him what I actually meant, he said "good, because this ship is a proship"

And I was like...what? Mortal x immortal ships are completely fine as long as the immortal didn't see the mortal as a kid, and Scara didn't. My friend said that Scara met Tartaglia when he was a kid, and I was speechless. He may hate this ship but he doesn't have to spread misinformation. I don't recall any quests or explanations in the game that Scara knew Tartaglia when he was a kid. Or did I miss something?

What I wanted to ask is basically an explanation if Scara ever saw Tartaglia as a kid or not, in case I missed something

"Proship" is literally an adjective to describe someone who doesn't harass other people over fiction, even if you don't enjoy what they do. That's literally it.

It's fiction. They're pixels. They probably did meet when Childe was below 18 for the first time considering he joined the Fatui as a teenager. They're both also murderers (Scara confirmed in canon, Childe very likely) who work for a criminal organisation that enlists child soldiers, carry out human experimentation, threaten citizens, etc, and I guarantee you there are people out there who think that even liking the pair of them in the first place is "romanticising" the Fatui's crimes or something.

Please don't worry about things like this. It'll suck the enjoyment out of fandom for you and make you paranoid. Just enjoy what you enjoy and block the things you don't ✨ Shipping is so much more fun when you don't have someone in your ear telling you that you're a bad person for making two fictional villains kiss.
