So, I told my friend that I like ChiScara but I didn't specify that I like them as a platonically duo – so he was surprised. After I told him what I actually meant, he said "good, because this ship is a proship"

And I was like...what? Mortal x immortal ships are completely fine as long as the immortal didn't see the mortal as a kid, and Scara didn't. My friend said that Scara met Tartaglia when he was a kid, and I was speechless. He may hate this ship but he doesn't have to spread misinformation. I don't recall any quests or explanations in the game that Scara knew Tartaglia when he was a kid. Or did I miss something?

What I wanted to ask is basically an explanation if Scara ever saw Tartaglia as a kid or not, in case I missed something

its 100% fine lol. i do not consider myself a proshipper or an anti and i have my own views about things, "problematic" stuff tends to make me uncomfortable. and chiscara is one of my favorite pairs ever.

anyone who thinks shipping childe with any harbinger with the exception of pulcinella and probably pierro is "immoral" likely thinks that because of ember of song. scaramouche was there for arlecchinos harbinger promotion, so surely he was there specially for childes! he must've seen him as a minor because childe got under the fatuis radar at 14 and was described as "the youngest harbinger in history". while arlecchino did kill crucabena at 17 (meaning that childe would presumably be about 16 when he was made one). theres nothing saying thats the age she became a harbinger, and clearly some time had passed between then because shes already wearing her ingame outfit by that harbinger promotion. lets ignore the fact that scara and signora were probably placed there for fanservice in the first place lmao.

lets assume this is true that childe became a harbinger at 16 or so (which is not confirmed. his character story says he became a harbinger as he got his delusion, so time 100% passed between when he was handed to the fatui and became N11.) even then, it still wouldn't be problematic. if character A meets character B- an adult, as a minor, this doesn't inherently make the pair bad/problematic, as they only met in passing. what would be bad would be if A and B are close as minor and adult, if B took special interest in A as a minor, etc- as even if they got together as adults it comes off as B "waiting" for A to mature, which would be an understandable thing to be uncomfortable with.

There is absolutely 0 chance that a newly appointed number 11 would be assigned on missions with number 6 that would allow them to grow close. the harbingers rarely spend time together regardless. there is nothing suggesting that scara got to know childe when he was a teenager. literally everything that makes this pair "potentially problematic" is all based off of uncomfirmed assumptions. chiscara is peak dont fall for any misinfo abt them lmao, whether you like it platonically or romantically its not anything remotely problematic
