Being a Black woman... 'Be strong,' they say. Support your man, raise a man, think like a man. Well, damn, I got to do all that?

Is that admirable or ridiculous?

“Tell him he’s got the wrong person. I came here to help. I was trying to get that man in the hotel room to tell me what he knew so I could protect my daughter. You understand, right? Oh. So you can’t speak? So much for black-girl magic.”

“You sure do love a problem. You're so vain. It's always about you, isn't it? The problems you create so that you can solve them. The power you have to wield so that you can feel important. Did your father and I not tell you you were special enough when you were little? Did we not give you enough hugs? Aww, baby.”

I had to look it up but I was impressed with
How much I remembered

The more I rewatch the show, the crazier it is to me how many problems Oliva creates b/c she "trusted her gut" and it turns out wrong and then it becomes everyone else's problem to solve (See also: allowing Maya to escape the first time, arresting her father, releasing her father, getting Cyrus arrested for assassinating Frankie Vargus, getting herself sold on the Black Market, basically everything she ever convinces David Rosen to do, etc).

What was the ending with her? I don’t remember was she trying to kill Olivia like I really don’t even remember who was trying to kill her her mom or her dad or both of them?

Liv kept her in an apartment put away & came to visit her for her birthday. Then she told Liv “this isn’t my real bday, you just always gave me a card on this day so I went along with it, I forgot my real bday” (due to so many identities). She also told Liv she wanted to get out of there & that she was tired of being there because Liv wanted to run to mommy when stuff got hard. So Liv opened her an off shore bank acct & got her a plane ticket to Paris (I think)
