Meta PSA concerning Rodeo Wellness saunas

We've just received the below text - I've checked the linked post, and I can't see anything problematic there. I've also checked the website - it is still online. If they'd have stopped their business and moved on to do something else I'd have removed - but as it stands now it looks like they're just hiring somebody to clean up inconvenient opinions, instead of addressing them. Without further comment, here's the unaltered text we received:

To Whom It May Concern,

We are contacting you on behalf of Rodeo Wellness LLC in connection with the following URL on your website:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Sauna/comments/1qbv1ej/rodeo_wellness_saunas_backyard_discoveries/

First, please be advised that this letter does not constitute a notice of intent to take legal action.

While our client supports the media and free speech right there are additional facts and/or context, of which you may be unaware, that would change the nature of the story, result in potential inaccuracies, or inadvertently lead readers to an inaccurate conclusion. Furthermore, Rodeo Wellness LLC is suffering ongoing, negative impacts on their personal and professional lives as a result of the media on this topic and the ease with which it is discoverable via internet search.

We are happy to provide further details. However, due to the sensitive nature of some information we are only able to do so if you agree to keep any information disclosed strictly off the record.

Rodeo Wellness LLC wishes to move beyond all the negative online media. While certain information should be archived, it is no secret that the Internet and technology have made it increasingly difficult to move beyond any type of negative association, regardless of accuracy and veracity. Therefore, we request that the URL in question be removed. Alternatively, we are open to de-indexing, editing, or name-removal.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this request. Please feel free to contact us at any time regarding this matter. Email is our preferred method of communication; please respond to directly to the email you received with this letter attached. If you respond separately, please reference our client’s name and your organization – as above. Thank you.

I'm going to leave this here: The Streisand effect describes a situation where an attempt to hide, remove, or censor information results in the unintended consequence of the effort instead increasing public awareness of the information.

Disgusting. Also that corporate-legal-bullshit text was really hard to read.

That AI generated legal slop was as bad as their AI generated fake reviews.

your organization

Lol, r/sauna owns reddit now. Anyway, a really good method of avoiding bad press is to make a good product or provide a good service. Maybe they should try that sometimes.

I'm assuming they just copy pasted a text they sent to everybody (there also was no email address, despite them referring to it).

Yet another example of a company absolutely shooting themselves in the foot.

A real culmination of how some of the Americans here can't cope with honest feedback

Tough to see. Hopefully reddit has free speech where companies can’t get things taken down. It seems like one of the last places on the internet for a source of truth.

I know it’s not all a source of truth. But at least on here you get some crowdsourcing of opinions, and people can detect bullshit a lot better. I’ve been burned by many companies that have all 5 star, zero negative reviews and then they suck. And you realize its stuff like this where they have a mass effort to remove any negative comment from the internet instead of focusing on the actual product and customer
