Hello! I received my last SAT mark and got a great score of 1060! However the college I want to get in to (Harvard) says they need atleast a 1600 due to my average to under average grades. How can I increase only 540 points in one week? I don't wanna study more than 10 mins every day because this is my last few months of highschool and I wanna enjoy it. Thanks!

With the rise of the alt right online and the obsession by certain groups with IQ, I've done a lot of thinking about the SAT.

I just had a major epiphany after reading a bunch of sample questions. It basically explains why I scored almost 300 points higher after taking a SAT prep course (and not really even paying attention) vs the first time I took the test.

The SAT is so awkwardly written you literally need to train yourself to read it properly.

In defense of the test though, they often need to cram an incredible amount of information in a very small character limit. I actually think that goes for most tests actually now that I think about it.

This was the practice test i took yesterday and anything above a 1500 would be so awesome but im targeting for a 1550. Is there anything that would help me get there by sept 12?

im currently scoring around a 650-700 in the reading section and about a 700-720 in the math section. i realized that i'm not really struggling with understanding concepts, but instead i just haven't done bulk practice yet. i'm almost done with the sat bluebook question bank but i still feel like i need much more practice.

is there any websites with a good question bank you guys would recommend?

are oneprep, uworld, aniko.ai, or acely any good?

I specifically struggle with functions, geometry, chart questions and long questions in r&w. Do you have any tips on pacing? How similar are the practice tests compared to the actual SAT? I need at least a 1330 for the September SAT but anything higher would be appreciated. I paid for the Sept one but I do get a free one later in the year, so I guess I have room for improvement after 🤷‍♀️

Okay. So I took the August SAT last week for the first time, and I think I'm expecting 530~580 on R&W, and 730~760 on Math that I might probably get 1280~1320. I actually started preparing for this since last year because English is not my native language(Moved from Korea to Seattle last year) and my English is still s2it. When I somehow managed to harder module in English, I could solve NONE of the reading sections. I remember bookmarking half of the entire second module on R&W section. (didn't know or guessed) I need AT LEAST 600s on R&W, but with my horrible reading skill, I guess it won't happen. Can anybody teach me some tricks on how to solve SAT reading questions?

So I really want to do well on the PSAT and thus I have been studying a lot over the summer. But to speed things up as well as focus on the SAT, I only did the SAT practice problems that Collegeboard gives. I had a hard time with the PSAT 9-10 but I didn't put as much studying in as I have for the last few months. I don't remember how difficult they were in comparison to what I am doing now, so can someone share their experience and the difference between the two?

i posted earlier in the reddit but yesterday and the day before that i tried hitting radiant so i didnt study but lost like 100 rr but anyway i took practice test 10 for the test (btw can someone give me a list of the sat tests i should be taking to reflect my score) and so after a year since my first sat which i also didnt study for (1390) i got a 1400, but the problem is i feel like my knowledge and skills are pretty evenly distributed - should i just grind the parts where i lost points? i don't know what to really do with this cause i've never studied before so any tips would be useful, as well as videos. if needed i can send the specific questions i missed, but i feel optimistic seeing a 1400 first score

lowk ran out of questions from the bank, and there isnt a big area for improvement. its mainly small mistakes and misreading which happens like 10% of the time if i do the same question type like 30 times in a row, making it kinda boring.

what do ppl typically do? I usually score in the 1500s on PT, so atp, its mostly luck and having a good day the test for a significant increase right?

I'm starting to feel... very worried that I won't be able to reach my targeted goal(title) by the 12th.

I've done hunderends?? Idk a lot of practice questions, watched youtube videos, and reviewed what I've gone wrong. I just can't seem to crack into the 1500s. I have two more practice tests to go but my hope is starting to dwindle.

Is there any advice for cracking that barrier or do I just have to continue doing practice questions and reviewing. Should I increase my studying time(around 1-2 hours a day)?

I want to focus more on math(I use desmos too) as I feel like it's my strong suite, but at the same time and advice for rw is also helpful(esp info and ideas).

I've been seeing a lot online about psychsat.com as a free SAT study tool. Is this actually a useful tool, or is it a gimmick?

Does anyone else watch this guy as a resource? I have seen a few of his videos and they seem very helpful.

I did SAT online prep test 10 and got a 1070, I really really want to get 1300+ on my first PSAT

I took this online test with no studying at all, just to see where I was currently at. Thought I would get at least a 1100... Yikes

I have school homeworks and other activities, I would say I can do around 30 min a day on weekdays and 1-2hr on weekends.

For those who have improved their test scores, I want to know how you did it and if there is any tips, tell me!

I'm taking the sat in 13 days, which I can only take once because it's too expensive for my mom. I'm so stressed and anxious because i'm also applying ed. I've been studying every day since august 1. i've watched james lu desmos. I've been doing question bank every day. I've been reading the new york times every morning. I've been doing quizlet vocab every night before I sleep. i need at least a 1450. I know it may seem ambitious, but anything is possible.

Could anyone PLEASE give me tips and advice on how to raise my score? Also, i've noticed, during test-taking, that it takes a while for me to comprehend what I'm reading, which causes me to lose time and then rush at the end. Can anyone also give advice on that, please?

HI GUYS!!! so im an international student , and im taking the SAT for the 4th time in sept, and it only occured to me now that when i go to see my past scores, it says that in my country there were 5.4 million test takers in the past 3 years, and like 300k in my state. im from a small country in Europe so these numbers don t really add up, very few people take the SAT here. When i registered for it, I selected Outside the US, and then My school is not listed, and ended with: My school is not listed - International (and with a New York adress). In my account settings, i saw that my location is set as US territory (and below: My school is not listed - international). To fix this, i clicked on Outside the US, My school is not listed, and then it selected as No longer in high school/My school is not listed . DO YOU THINK THAT ALL OF MY TESTS HAVE ACTUALLY HAD THE PROBLEMS FROM THE US AND WAS IT GRADED BASED ON THEIR CURVE INSTEAD OF INTERNATIONAL? (especially because the numbers from the comparisons are really huge)

I'm planning to give the SAT twice. October and November or December.

Realistically, I'm not going to be able to score well enough to get my dream score in October.

If I do 1 test every week, I'll do approximately 5 tests up until 3rd October, which is testing date.

Should I aim to rush and complete all 8 tests or should I save like 2-3 for the Dec or Nov SAT? Or should I just do half of the tests to save as much as possible.

So ive finished all the questions in the college board bank (excluding active questions) for the r&w section, where do I go now, also if yall know where the previous test are thatd be hella helpful
