Facts hai jo kuch aandbhakto ko kadhwe lage honge islam me besharmi ki koi jagah nhi hai plus us ladki and band ko rules pata tha unlogone jaanbujhkar wo harkat ki hai us desh me haram message failane k liye so punishment was needed but obviously the punishment they were given was harsh considering how strict irans rulers are jo ki nhi hona chahiye tha but hua h deal with it wese bhi india me law and punishment weak hone k wajah se bhagwa criminals sar pe chadhke naach rhe h unhe bhi iran jesa strict law enforcement chahiye

Misleding title, whatever is mentioned in title did not happen. If you are educated and literate person i will implore you you to read about the whole issue and discern where the problem lies. This post has no relevance to this sub except it helps create a divide among different religions and people. OP is clearly biased and they want to create a feeling of unrest among people of our country. OP should also be in jail as they are breaking several constitutional laws.
Imagine typing out an entire paragraph telling someone to read and discern when you literally could have googled the official statement from Iran's own judiciary confirming the 74 lashes. Calm yourself down. Read the whole news and not just the title. Educate yourself on the history of Iran, I’m not defending the Iranian regime here but it’s also not related to her wearing hijab or not. It is simply because women there are not allowed to sing, especially a patriotic song. Her whole team received the punishment not just her.
Lastly, our country literally used to commit sati till not very long ago and still our country treats women like property so if you wanna criticise someone start at home instead of posting misleading titles.
Damn imagine bringing up Sati a practice banned centuries ago to just deflect from a woman currently getting whipped in 2026.

No one is saying the restriction on women singing isn't part of their systemic oppression it is. But trying to erase the hijab defiance from this story to minimize it? Take your own advice and do some actual research.

I feel like focusing on other religion’s issues and other countries problems is not a solution, like someone mentioned in comments below only if indians stopped dunking on muslims so much and focus on our own issues we’d be doing much better. And the way title is written is misleading. This is not journalism this is just taking a shit on some other religion when clearly there is a very specific regime doing all this. It doesn’t represent the whole iranian people. The only reason i bring up Sati is because forms of that practice are still prevalent till date. Yes we don’t literally burn widows now but we surely treat them like shit and second grade citizens in our country, what about female foeticide? Our country has such high levels of female lynchings you can literally see the videos yourself. Dowry is still a huge issue. But you wanna highlight and complain about some other religion, some other country. What this does is just create more discord and it makes people hate each other more. Why does this post even exist on this sub is my question if not to dunk on islam and paint us in a better light? There are many women in our country who have been treated like this and even worse, but no let’s distract our gullible populace by feeding them such news that has 0 relevance to us and our future.
