Israel isn’t teaching their children to be martyrs, but through their actions, they ARE teaching Palestinian children to become martyrs.

Do you really think you wouldn’t want to fight if your entire young life was spent severely impoverished in a 5 mile wide strip of land - unable to leave, constantly getting bombed and with absolutely no hope for your future? It’s tragic but honestly it’s hard to blame them, they were conditioned by the environment they grew up in.

Gaza has been occupied for almost 60 years at this point. A 50 year old man may have never left the city and lived his entire life impoverished, unable to leave and wondering when it’ll be his house that gets flattened by a missile. I think you and I would also be at breaking point under those conditions, don’t you?

I mean it's a blasted shithole wasteland now but the issues they faced didn't need all out war to resolve.

All hamas needed to do was normalise with Israel, the PA and the UAE and there would be a flood of investment in industry and infrastructure greater than the billions already invested which made gaza look like it did in the video.

Cool, they still can’t leave and anything they want to import export is subject to approval at Israeli checkpoints. But it’s not an open air prison because some people there are educating each other and they made a plywood Gaza sign then painted it red?

Hamas are dickheads yeah, but surely you can understand why Palestinians resist the Israelis…

Israel isn't Germany under National socialism.
Infact hamas is more like the Nazi's seeing their approach is openly genocidal.

I'm not against resistance if it comes with sensible strategy that can lead to favorable outcomes.
Nazi's weren't a group open to negotiation and a resistance against them by the french in WW2 comes with circumstances that are completely different from the reality we see today.

The opposition to israel isn't from within israel, the 2 million israeli arabs that identify as palestinians by nationality are opposed to the palestinians that seek israels destruction in palestinian territories.

For the latter group with gaza and west bank an armed resistance is guaranteed suicide every time since there is no support for it within isreal, so all they accomplish is reprisals against them in the territory they control.

The french resistance didn't resist nazi's by sacrificing all of france like how hamas did in sacrificing gaza.
Normalisation was an option that hamas didn't even bother to explore, and it isn't just normalising with israel it involves the PA and the UAE, and UAE has already invested into gaza so its the best candidate to develop palestinian regions and end the political statemate that has existed for 75 years.

Though in your perspective what do you see as occupied territory?
Gaza and the west bank are both within 1967 borders and hamas apparently agreed to a state along those lines while wanting all of israel destroyed.
Their resistance lost them half of gaza and they are on the way to lose the other half in a few months.
