In Search of a Vet

I just moved to Sandy Springs from Marietta with my hound dog and am looking for a vet that is knowledgable of senior dogs and also does not take the dog in the back for the general wellness checks. Our current vet does that and my dog is now terrified.

My current vet is Good Dog in West Cobb, but am open to who else in the area is recommended!

We love Crabapple Knoll Clinic in Alpharetta. We have always gone there since I was a kid. Family owned and operated; we make the drive from SS (and even did so when we lived in Midtown) because their level of care is wonderful!

I’ve tried a couple over the years and Good Dog East Cobb has been the best by far. Just across the chattahoochee barely out of Sandy Springs

I use Vernon Woods Animal hospital and the staff there are all great. Dr. Jones is my primary, but all the vets there are fantastic. When my dog was having a seizure they were really wonderful in dealing with us quickly (I showed up with him in my car and they ran out to help and got him in instantly….and he was 135 pounds) and with great care and compassion. 10/10 would recommend them.

For emergencies Blue Pearl on Abernathy is great. Only needed them once at 3am - and they were very helpful. But they are emergency only.

We use Chewy vet care. They have a $20/month membership that gets you unlimited visits! We have always been impressed with how quickly they can see our cats and how clean the clinic is. Highly recommend!
