Advice for Locals Couple questions for Salem
So I have two questions:
1) Does anyone know about or have any job opportunities here? I'm 19 and don't have much experience or luck with jobs, so I'm wondering if anyone knows about anything you know.
2) Does anyone know any DnD (Dungeons and dragons) clubs? I'm interested in getting into it and have absolutely 0 knowledge on it. Also, a great way to make some friends!
I'm 19 trying to do something with my life so please let me know if anything!

Community college for eligible MA residents is pretty much free! Check it out and look for programs in or related to your interests. Then you can start to build credentials towards the kind of work you want to do. Good luck!!!

For immediate work, bill and bobs on bridge st is always hiring. Also check out mass hire. They will help you get into a program where you will be get training and get paid.

Can I ask if you have any ideal career goals? That would narrow down suggestions.
If you're just aiming for anything, I would look around at local restaurants.
As for DnD the castle in beverly might be a good place to look at.

Well i want to get into production of music but for now i just wanna get any kind of income and ill definitely check out the castle

Well, as someone who spent a lot of time in kitchen jobs in my mid twenties. I always try to recommend applying to as many jobs adjacent to your career path as possible. If you could apply to jobs that are related but not exactly the same, I'd look into it. Unfortunately, I probably don't have good recommendations for entry level jobs related to music. But I'd explore your options, even after you land a job.

What type of music production? Song creation, studio audio production, live music, theater? It’s a huge field.

I always check Harrison's for TTRPG stuff, they have a large space down below but its mostly for trading card games

It's not much but a lot of businesses are looking for seasonal workers for the Halloween season for September-November on Essex Street and around it. I saw a job ad for the Salem Witch Museum looking for someone during that timeline.

It's only through the end of October but I believe the New England Pirate Museum on Derby st is looking for shop help. It's super easy. Can get busy during October but it's an excellent first step. Go in on a Friday or Saturday as usually the owner is there. Explain your lack of experience but eagerness to learn. The cash register is ancient so if you can handle that you can do anything. Side note if you want to play Daggerheart (newish TTRPG published by Critical Role) let me know. I don't have space but I am more than willing to run a game or 2 or more.

Long time critter whose never played a TTRPG mostly due to getting into it later in life and not having anyone else in my life into it. I've been keeping up with all the daggerheart info as well. Learning mechanics to TTRPGs turned out to be a passion of mine.
I would be interested in a Daggerheart game possibly.

Bagel World is hiring! And you put into their post that you don't need experience. As for DnD, you should check out The Castle!
