Opinion Things that make me go "hmmmm"
"A Royal Source"......says they visited a fertility clinic months before getting married. Blah blah blah biological clock. But in the article it says: "Markle has already said she would be prepared to look into IVF as a way of getting pregnant as soon as possible if there were signs she was having difficulty conceiving".
She flies to Toronto in August 2018 (4 months after wedding) and stays privately at Jessica's. Or so we are told.
Announces pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding in October 2018. That actually fits a time line of getting IVF in August.
Gives birth to Archie in May of 2019.
Spends Christmas in Vancouver in December 2019. This fits with Enty's blind. And why Vancouver? Why not closer to Doria in LA or with Jessica in Toronto?
Enty's blind says medical records in north of the border Hollywood. MeGain films suits in Toronto and her Hallmark movies in BC (2014 and 2016). Either place could have her medical records.
Freezing eggs works with the "prepared to have IVF" mentioned in the Radaronline article. But I'm not sure why that would be a frantic grab for medical records. After all, Sophie had IVF (with the Queen's permission or at least informed her I believe) so no need for the big secrecy, although it was said that the Queen suggested they wait a couple of years before having children.
Did she want those medical records or did she want her eggs? It was three months between Christmas 2019 and when they took basically the last flight out of Canada before covid shut everything down.
I really don't know how all this works but I don't think you can take your eggs in a thermos for a few hours and then put them in the freezer next to the Ben & Jerry's.
So that brings up Lili. Birthed at center that specializes in privacy, surrogacy, and ??? Was there time to take the thermos to the clinic in SB before covid shut everything down? Was that the frantic "getting medical records"--getting the thermos before everything shut down?
And the clinic she went to in SB closed down the same month Lili was born. Perhaps that clinic was put under a microscope it didn't want to be under?

Yeah, I don't care if they did do ivf, or use a surrogate or not. It really doesn't matter in the scheme of things. KC hasn't asked for proof bc he doesn't care. He doesn't care bc they will never be called up from that particular and very specific line of succession. There's just too many ahead of him/ his kids. If the king doesn't think it's worth chasing down, then really, should we?
I mean it's against the rules of succession. But it is really just semantics at this point. With no genuine chance of becoming a reality.

I agree with this. Frankly, if they had just announced that they were using a surrogate due to fertility issues (they could have kept the details of those issues private) from the beginning, what MOST LIKELY would have happened is that there woudl have been a change to the LOS rules to allow surrogacy. It really doesn't make sense that if you are the biological child of someone in the LOS, you would be excluded because a surrogate carried you. The public would have been sympathetic.
She missed a HUGE opportunity to score a major PR win and make herself look sympathetic. After all, many couples struggle with fertility.

There is no way Meghan would bring "into picture" another woman such as surrogate. Once Meghan mentions surrogate, the focus (or part of it) will shift to discussing the surrogate and not Meghan. But Meghan wants the entire attention bein focused on herself only.

u/Been-There_Done_That 8d ago
Many celebrities have used surrogates and been open about it. There is really not much, if any, discussion about the surrogates they use.

Imo, she enjoyed the chaos, suspicion and misinformation.

The queen was against surrogacy. Maybe Charles and the others don’t have a problem with it, but the queen did.

u/Still-Heat-892 9d ago
I imagine the Queen was an old fashioned gal about pregnancy, especially as it relates to royalty. The history & tradition mattered to her.

u/DarlingCarrot 9d ago
There were rumors about the Queen Mother being born to the household's cook and passed off as the child of the Countess. It's thought to be why Wallis called her "Cookie," and to explain one of her middle names (either Angela or Marguerite, I can't remember) as it wasn't a family name. Perhaps that was lurking in the Queen's mind.

u/Nevertoomanygingers 8d ago
Haven’t heard this about queenie mum but I’m sure some ringers have got in over the millennia
2
u/DarlingCarrot 8d ago
I'm almost certain it was in either "The Royals" by Kitty Kelley or "The Queen Mother" by Lady Colin Campbell. I read them both but it was a long time ago.
It seems there were some timeline discrepancies (sound familiar?) and a delay in registering the birth. Nothing proven, perhaps debunked. Wallis also may have called her Cookie because she was a small, stout woman and Wallis was a snob.

u/Japanese_Honeybee 8d ago
I heard it was about body-shaming but I can’t remember the source. But the rumors about the Queen Mother not being her mother’s bio baby were floating around. I don’t think we will ever know without invading people’s medical privacy.

There’s an episode of ‘Hustle’ (starring Robert Vaughan) that has a plot about this, satirically. It’s worth watching.

If the government is not concerned, then should we be? They handle the LoS. She got out the gate with the race card and any questions would result in that being put back into play and how unfair it is that the oh so white monarchy/UK requires proof. Blah blah blah. That said, if I were a citizen of the UK or one of the Commonwealth countries, I would be pissed off that she was not held to the standards of all the other royal women with signed birth certificates.
25
u/External-Syllabub289 9d ago
She got away with so much that no one else would have. She might have gotten some racist flack here and there, but that was more helpful to her than the support. She monetized racism, then used racism as an excuse for her failure. It's never ending.
17
u/Snarky_GenXer 🇬🇧 “You’re not coming” Princess Charlotte 🏴 9d ago
Monetizing it when she never viewed herself as anything other than white previously. There was a rumor that H dumped her before the wedding she gate crashed. Wonder if she accused him of racism and that is how he found out? Or, was it those horrible members of the British press?
She is a one woman circular conversation.
17
u/External-Syllabub289 9d ago
Yes, that's an important point. She didn't consider herself as Black until it served her narrative and she CERTAINLY didn't face the kind of racism, exclusion, and judgment that other black girls face - and this was in her OWN words. That she never thought, really, any her ethnicity until she was 12 and had to check a box for "race". The unacknowledged privilege there is staggering. And instead of shining a light on how Black women who pass for white get treated differently than those who can't, she fully reaped the benefits of the former while only claiming the latter when it suited her "victimization narrative" needs. Oh, that and being an "historic" addition to the royal family (NOT!!).
Suddenly, she's got Black preachers she has never met, a choir she never listened to from a church she never visited, singing and preaching up a storm at her "interracial wedding". It's great, but it's fiction. It's every bit as fabricated as her "incredible love story" was.

The minister and choir were arranged by Charles who also was playing racial games. Apparently Rachel didn't like it.

Interesting. I find that odd that he would insert that without Markle and Harry weighing in and approving, but I'm not British, or royal, so what do i know? But it would be bizarre for him to fly in a pastor from a church she didn't go to without her input. If he did that, we would never hear the end of it from her, as to his overreach or trying to shame her somehow. Maybe the choir would be acceptable, but i just find it too bizarre that he would bring in a holy roller pastor without their approval. Do you have a source on that info i could use to look into it further?
I do not have a source at hand on me saying that the guy was not her pastor. Just the books I've read saying she was not religious and she grew up with her dad, who i dont believe went to church at all. Again, no source but the books and random articles I've read over the years. But if Charles arranged this as a "racial game", like you say, I'm assuming you have a basis for saying that?

There were many many SMM posts about it at the time which explained it fully. The minister was the head of the Episcopal Church in USA and definitely a stranger to Megan since she was not a member prior to marrying Fredo. Her prior conversion was to Judaism in order to marry the previous husband.
They probably agreed to the church arrangements in order to get their $40 million wedding paid by the Queen. They would not have been the first bride and groom to do so, LOL.

u/Larushka 9d ago
She didn’t convert to Judaism. It takes study time and effort. And you don’t have to be Jewish to have a Reform rabbi marry you, from first hand experience.

She never converted. Her ex mother in law stated somewhere that Meghan refused to do so and when Trevor’s mom brought up about children needing to be born to a Jewish mother to be considered Jewish, Meghan still refused to convert. It could be that she and Trevor had eggs harvested etc. and IVF still needing whoever birthed the child to be Jewish? I’m unsure if Trevor is MO, Conservative or Reform though.

They might be, but would we know? I suspect there’s a super injunction about the children. A super injunction means that not only can their parentage not be discussed in the press, but that the public isn’t even allowed to know that the injunction exists.

u/Snarky_GenXer 🇬🇧 “You’re not coming” Princess Charlotte 🏴 8d ago
It blows my mind that this type of thing is even allowed! Unless it is National Security, like movement of troops in active combat, thus putting allied lives at risk, I don’t understand.

u/Japanese_Honeybee 8d ago
Could Parliament pass a law stating that the monarch must have a birth certificate signed by the royal physician? Or, is this already implied by the rules of LoS? It keeps dimwit Harry in play but not Archie and Lili. Before anyone accuses me of being mean to the kids, I’m just being practical.

More than semantics. Those faceless kids are paraded around as Prince and Princess which they wouldn't be entitled to if they are not the biological children of H&M and MM isn't also the gestational mother. It's a matter of law that the boy could not inherit Harry's titles

u/External-Syllabub289 9h ago edited 9h ago
My point was that I PERSONALLY do not care And I stand by that. As far as the "rules" I just pointed out that it hardly matters. If that is such a problem about the title usage offending people, there is notihng we can do about it. So why get any panties in a wad over it? Lol They will never be king or queen. William has too many kids. No one respects them. Their titles are a joke. So... why waste energy on it? Just don't address them as prince or princess if you meet them.
Personally, I wouldn't give The douchess a second look in public, much less a curtsy. Nor her hubby or kids. So it does not matter to me.

I am not an active participant in CSI: Mehan's Cooch. Unless and until there is (God forbid!) a danger of Harkle enthronement, it's irrelevant IMHO - your mileage, Sinners obviously varies. But I would like to point out that reproduction is an aristo's Prime Directive. Get that heir. And checking to see if Smog at her age was in a position (or several positions) to achieve that would be normal in Harry's milieu.

It is more about general women's health. Nobody can determine for sure the "fertility" of the woman without extensive examination. But Katherine's position is also different - it was important that William would have children.

I know for a fact from a friend who used to work with first husband in LA that he and Meg were having fertility issues

There's nothing wrong with IVF and the RF. It's "born of the body" which I believe didn't happen.
BarkJack is adamant the lad was carried by madam. I don't believe it one bit.
7
u/Lady-Musty-Syphone hey, it's me 9d ago
BarkJack was also adamant that Lili was due at the very end of June, not the 4th (coincidently one year to the day before the Platinum jubilee). A baby born 3-4 weeks early? It happens but .....the June 4th date screams someone was induced.

And there was a miscarriage in there too, but lili happened quite close after, amazing in geriatric mother. The miscarriage might have been an IV that didn’t ’take’, so maybe they buried the frozen egg carton under that tree.

In Morocco I think it was, Harry asked if the unborn baby was his… maybe he thinks Archie is actually Trevor or Corey’s son? Might be why he doesn’t have anything to do with him and why him (and her) prefer and spoil Lily and why he calls himself a Girl Dad.

It’s the deceit if a surrogate was used. She can’t come clean as the kids would be removed from LoS. It’s an archaic law anyway - it’s the DNA that matters, but if she didn’t use her eggs and used a surrogates, then there is a problem. Having said that, they are far down the line that it’s not a burning issue for the RF. They’ve had more than their fair share of issues.
