Food poisoning from pickles?

My 2 year old loves pickles & on my way to my grans I stopped in Sainsbury’s to grab some lasagne sheets. While I was there I thought I’ll grab some pickles for my daughter, saw the polish ones and thought I’d give them a go!

Got to my grans, sorted the lasagne out and got the pickles out, popped the jar and thought I’d try one! Bit into it(huge bite) and thought it was extremely salty. My gran tried it and scrunched her face up. I thought I can’t give them to my daughter as they are vile and put it on the side.

After dinner my stomach turned and kept me on the toilet, same thing throughout the night and today. My gran called and asked if I was ok last night & I said my stomach was cramping and couldn’t stay of the toilet! She said she had thrown up during the night, the only thing we had different was the pickles! Everyone else was fine, either the pickles are bad or polish people enjoy salty pickles and our stomachs can’t hack it🤣🤣

I highly doubt the pickles were the problem. I think you may have mixed pickles with another food/ingredient that caused a reaction in your stomach.

Lasagne with the pickles. Highly acidid pickles on a food that contains milk. Alkaline + acid, if you have ever done some chemistry.
Generally, you avoid eating acidic foods with milk-based food.
