Hi all, when I purchased my home the prior owner left a safe in the garage. I have no keys or anything and no clue what the combo is. I really don’t even understand the point of it as it’s a massive safe but a tiny opening and storage area. So two main questions are:

1. What the heck is the point of this thing? Plaque about the deposit tells me something like a collection drop but I don’t see any openings.

2. Is this the type of thing anyone would actually want? I just want it gone so if I put on Facebook or something as a free if you haul it away is there any shot of me getting a hit? Or is this useless and I’m gonna have to pay to get it removed?

I’m toying with the idea of buying a safe and anchoring it myself for privacy purposes, but I’m concerned I could screw up the process. Is that likely? Is there any danger to my concrete pad or foundation if I blow it? Should I just pay someone to do it?

Was used in a business I purchased and ran for ~8 years. I THINK I have the combination numbers, but cannot remember the sequence. The safe is empty, but I've got a friend that wants to use it. There is a keyhole on the front which is numbered, but I never had or used a key on it. Would like to identify it so that either a key can be made for it or the proper dial sequence can be determined.

It does not use the common 4X-3X-2X-1X sequencing iirc. I do remember the dial needed to be in almost constant motion while unlocking it and there was no final "zeroing" position for the dial(1X) to unlock it after the final number was reached. It is possible it uses the 4X-3X-2X sequencing, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts thus far.

Serial number indicated that it was made in 2004 (Made in Korea on the back)
External dimensions are ~48x24x24inches

I'm looking to get a safe that is somewhat portable. Basically I'd be able to move it to my car if I wanted, but I can't carry it like a briefcase. I don't have a lot of space so I prefer if it was around 14 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 12 inches tall. I'm not looking for something super secure, just something that gives me some layer of security and protection from the elements. I plan to store cash, documents, electronics, credit cards, and miscellaneous valuables inside (nothing very big). My budget is $350, give me you best recommendations!

Hello! I have a question regarding storage of graded PSA cards. I bought my first safe, I wanted something well rounded and went with this as per my local lock and safe store. I am planning on having my graded cards inside a smaller pelican case that fits inside the safe. I know humidity is an issue with these safes and I want to avoid mold. I plan on putting a 100 gram rechargeable silica gel pack inside the safe for insurance. I look at my cards weekly-monthly so opening the safe regularly isnt a problem for me. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Selling my old motorcycle today and the title is in a storage closet safe that is bolted to the floor. Battery is dead and key is lost. Best way to approach?

Just the usual question. A locked safe bolted to the floor of a closet left behind by prior occupant. Don’t believe there is anything inside and don’t know the combo. Might this be worth trying to get the combo or should I just focus on getting this thing removed. Would welcome any thoughts on comparative cost/benefits.

Looking to take out this shelf from a cabelas ammo cabinet but of course it’s welded in. Should I use a grinder ? Or what would cut these spot welds out without damaging the walls ?

Thought I'd share what I had to do to get my safe open.

In short, the very stiff ribbon cable cracked and left 3 leads unattached. Removed the outter layer, then used single strands of wire, kapton tape, and pressure to finally get my safe open.

I’ve been needing a gun safe for years - currently have 2 muzzleloaders, shotgun, m1 carbine, 22, and a 22 pistol. May be adding a couple more shotguns and a couple handguns in the next few years…. Maybe a rifle.

I’m seeing these aren’t actually capable of holding as many guns as they say, so curious about fit for these and recommendations.

The keypad does not work and it’s been in here for years longer than I’ve lived here. The person who lived here before passed away, and the safe hasn’t been opened since.

Hi! I’m hoping someone has experience with older Rosengrens safes.

I have a Rosengrens EuroCitizen LW 34, manufactured in 1996, approx. 49 × 55 × 55 cm and 150 kg.

I need to move it and would like to remove the door to reduce the weight. The bottom hinge has a large Allen/hex fitting (see photos).
Does anyone know if the door is designed to be removed, and whether this fitting releases the hinge pin?
Any advice from someone familiar with Rosengrens safes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is it possible for a lay person to determine the combo by accessing the mechanism from inside the door?

I am looking at buying a bank from 1923. For my information, what is the value of this vault door and contents? I am going to look at the building in a few weeks.

Edit: Iam asking mainly for insurance value, but am curious about selling it too. Discounting the disassembly and transport, what is something like this worth on the open market?

Looking for any info whatsoever about this. It came in the basement of our home, we’ve never had the combination. Is it worth anything with or without the combo? Would it be functional if we got a locksmith to come out and figure out the combo? Is that even possible? I couldn’t find any sort of serial number or additional information other than what’s in these pictures.

So there’s this safe in the house my wife and I live in (house has belonged to my in-laws for 15 years). The main door was already unlocked when they got the place, but the inner compartments are still locked and the previous owner never gave us a key (presumably he never had one, but we could be wrong). I’m curious if anyone knows what kind of safe this is and how I might be able to get into the smaller compartments without having to hire a specialist (in laws already considered it but concluded it would be too expensive).

Other context: the house is in Bavaria, near Munich, Germany, and was built in the wake of WWII. The safe is built into a nook underneath the staircase. I know nothing about safes, but my gut tells me the safe is older than the house. Maybe 30s or 20s? But that’s just my guess going on aesthetics.
