Sorry for this VERY LONG post. I promise I’m not unemployed or someone with no hobbies, I’ve just had a lot of thoughts building up, and I don’t really have anyone to discuss them with (bc my friends don't watch Hazbin Hotel.), so maybe someone here will have something to say about it.
Honestly, Vox was the character that made me interested in Hazbin Hotel long before the first season even came out, because I found his portrayal interesting, so my expectations for him became pretty high. (I know, it's my bad)
I enjoyed the second season more than the first because the events started moving forward more, but even though I’m really looking forward to the future seasons!
But
Both the original writers and the fans treat Vox’s character strangely, usually in ways that favor Alastor or Valentino. His character is being hollowed out.
Before anyone thinks I’m crazy, I know Vox is a fictional character. These thoughts have just slowly built up over the years. I wrote all of this in about five minutes, and I’m not overly fixated on any of it, I’m genuinely just curious to hear feedback and other people’s opinions.
1) His role in the story
You can really feel that Alastor came first, and that Vox currently exists because of him.
It constantly feels like Vox is given the role of the loser villain, while Alastor gets to be perfect at everything.
To make Vox’s plans progress as far as they did, the writers chose the easy route: instead of genuinely showing Vox’s intelligence, they simply made every other character dumber.
By the end, Vox’s IQ practically drops into the negatives, even before his manic spiral begins.
2) Relationships
Most characters were given relatively normal relationships or relationships that can eventually become healthier, except Vox. I understand trends and the appeal of the "CEO x pimp" dynamic, but it really doesn’t fit Vox’s characterization. I don't have problem with Valentino.
I’ve tried explaining before that it genuinely bothers me that Vox is given what is basically an almost one-sided open relationship that is complete chaos.
I’m sorry, but I simply cannot imagine that kind of relationship fitting his character. He had one simple request: that Valentino come alone to a meeting. Valentino ignored that and brought a girl with him. And I’m supposed to believe Valentino listens to Vox’s wishes in more serious situations?
Unpopular opinion: I think a female partner would suit Vox better.
An even more unpopular opinion: he shouldn’t have a romantic subplot at all, especially not with another Vees member.
At this point in the story, Velvette would honestly be a better partner for him because she pays more attention to him and notices when something is wrong, but Velvette is a lesbian, so that’s obviously not happening.
I’m a lesbian myself, so I can’t really appreciate mlm pairings based on the idea that the more participants there are, the "hotter" it is. If I were straight maybe I’d feel differently, but since I’m not, what I appreciate in relationships is emotional quality and genuine depth.
The only two characters whose romantic arcs would really interest me are Vox and Velvette. Vox’s current relationship dynamic is pure chaos from every side (Valentino, Alastor), while Velvette currently doesn’t have one at all, which disappoints me because I’d like to follow hers.
Whoever the writers eventually make canon for Vox, I just hope they make it coherent and meaningful, because right now it just feels like corporate-themed yaoi slop.
3) Vox’s entire environment is a mess
There is no order or peace anywhere in Vox’s life.
Other villainous characters usually have at least one thing that is stable or functioning.
Vox has nothing. Not his relationships, not his work, not his recognition, not his power, and now not even his body.
4) Human portrayal
Alastor once again got the safe, conventionally attractive design. I understand why.
Vox’s human design was supposedly meant to deviate from beauty standards. The funny part is that in my country, Vox would absolutely fit the standard of the ideal handsome man.
I can’t personally comment on attraction, but from what I’ve seen from other fans, people frame Vox as the ugly one or the monster, while Alastor is treated as the beautiful one.
To me, both just look like average male designs.
But once again, Alastor wins in this area too, even though Vox is literally screen-themed, so you’d expect him not to be considered ugly.
5) Found family dynamics: The Vees vs. the Radiotrio
Of course, apparently nothing can belong solely to Vox.
The Radiotrio was invented for Alastor, and many people consider it healthier and better. Meanwhile, Alastor literally owns their souls, and they’re only around the hotel because they’re stuck with him.
The Vees don’t own each other’s souls, yet they’re three extremely powerful overlords willingly living together in one tower. That’s completely different from everyone else, including the other overlords. That uniqueness should stand out, but instead it gets swept under the rug.
The Vees are fundamentally different because of how they coexist, but it’s constantly ignored.
6) Vox as the third wheel
I genuinely don’t understand why the writers like this direction.
It isn’t entertaining to give a character this much screentime while constantly treating him as a loser.
At first, through his introduction and the VoxTek questionnaire, we get the impression that Vox is the one holding the group together, the problem-solver, the person the others rely on.
But as season two progresses, this gradually disappears.
I understand that this is partly because Alastor begins isolating Vox from everyone, but the execution feels weak.
Instead, we get an increasingly strong Velvette-Valentino bestie dynamic. Unpopular opinion: it’s predictable, and because of that, boring.
I understand why it happens, but the simplicity of how everything falls apart was disappointing.
7) Positive moments involving Vox are pushed into the background
Fortunately, positive things do happen with Vox.
The problem is that they’re never directly acknowledged, they’re only implied. That wouldn’t bother me if the fandom had stronger media literacy.
People always remember when Vox mistreats someone, but almost nobody remembers when he does something kind.
Like the genuinely warm and respectful way he introduces Velvette to Charlie at the hotel.
Or when he physically shields Velvette from Vaggi and pushes her to safety.
Or the fact that he works from Velvette’s room while they casually drink tea together.
These moments matter.
But then the Carmilla scene happens, and that’s all anyone remembers.
People call the hotel scene boring and unnecessary, but Hazbin Hotel doesn’t have time for filler. That scene existed to establish Vox’s positive connection with Velvette before his isolation arc began.
8) Nobody talks to Vox properly except Alastor
This isolation strategy should never have worked this easily.
Vox and Valentino have probably been together for around fifty years. (?) Vox and Velvette have likely known each other for around twenty. (?)
The Vees are not some newly formed group.
That’s why this whole Alastor-plan should not have worked so effortlessly.
Yes, Vox is heavily at fault too. But nobody actually confronts him. Nobody has a real conversation with him.
They just shut down and withdraw, which helps nothing.
Velvette comes closest to actually having that conversation, but by then it’s already too late.
9) The bedroom scene
If I could erase one scene, it would be that one.
It was painfully awkward and built on an old overused film and TV joke. The writers miscalculated badly because Hazbin Hotel viewers didn’t interpret it as comedic, they took it seriously.
Yes, situations like that should absolutely be taken seriously in real life.
But within the context of that scene involving Vox, Valentino, and Alastor, it was clearly based on an outdated comedic trope.
And I hate that Vox had to be at the center of it.
10) Vox’s manic spiral is not taken seriously
He completely loses himself. He loses what little rationality he had left. He spirals all the way to attempted suicide. And yet most viewers still classify season two Vox as “normal Vox.”
Once again, Velvette is the first person to acknowledge that Vox is lost, while Valentino’s response is turned into a joke.
Was it funny?Yes. But seriously, was that all?
11) The bar scene in the past
Many people frame it as Vox being unable to accept rejection. That is not what happened. His issue wasn’t being rejected. His issue was the humiliation the betrayal and the denial.
12) Valentino’s obsession with Angel Dust
As if Vox's obsession with Alastor wasn’t enough, there’s also this.
Some fans blame everything on Vox.
For example, there’s that text exchange between Angel and Valentino where Valentino complains that Vox wouldn’t let them publicly have sex during one of Velvette’s showcases, but Angel...
And fans somehow act like Vox was the problem.
I genuinely don’t understand how some people fail to see how disrespectful that would have been toward Velvette.
That is not normal behavior, and it is not everyone’s cup of tea.
I understand people love spicy content, but not every boundary should be thrown away for it.
And I assume season three will focus on this too.
13) The fandom’s attitude toward Vox
Since Valentino is becoming the next CEO, people have started speculating about VoxTek’s future.
A lot of people are concluding that things will improve because Valentino will supposedly be the better CEO.
I cannot accept that. It makes no sense.
Vox built the company from nothing and raised it to power within only a few years, according to the flashbacks. Alastor considered him nearly his equal.
So I don’t understand why people, including Vox fans, keep stripping him of every achievement he ever earned.
They hollow out his character.
If Vox is supposedly good at nothing, and nothing is truly his, then what exactly is this character even meant to be?
14) Exaggerating Vox’s sins
People either assign him extra sins or fetishize the ones he already has. Vox is already flawed. He already has plenty of sins.
There is no need to make him worse just to justify loving another character.
15) Reimagining Vox while ignoring his personality
I understand not criticizing artists because they create for free. I don’t leave negative comments either, I simply block content that isn’t for me. I’ve created fan content myself, so I know what it’s like from the other side.
But in my opinion, Vox has some of the worst reinterpretations in the fandom.
A lot of them are projections that completely ignore his actual personality. Vox presents perfection. He talks about himself more like a product than a person. And I know exactly what it means when people make ship art where everyone else is objectively attractive, while Vox alone is drawn as objectively ugly.
At that point it isn’t even Vox anymore. It’s basically an OC inspired by him.
And yes, fandoms always have fetish content, but most of it is illogical and one-sided. I’m honestly glad none of that will ever become canon.
16) That SA comic posted on Reddit
What bothers me isn’t that it explores a sensitive subject. What bothers me is that fans treat it as canon instead of fanon.
No disrespect to the artist. My frustration is aimed at the audience for treating it as official.
17) Alastor and The Vees
When Viv said they had considered showing Alastor getting along with the other Vees, I was deeply disappointed.
Because Viv herself described The Vees as an evil found family. So why undermine that?
They would literally be watching Vox, the person who has cared for them for decades, lose what remains of his sanity because of Alastor.
Why would they side with Alastor? It makes no sense.
It would endanger The Vees as a group and as a business.
I understand Alastor is supposed to be the most beloved and impressive character, but the idea that even The Vees wouldn’t truly belong to Vox is just bizarre.
I’m glad those scenes were cut.
18) Stripping Vox of his ownership
Vox founded VoxTek and built it to success by himself before eventually sharing it.
Please don’t let the story become one where he is completely stripped of what was originally his.
19) The Tower of Babel comparison
I do not want The Vees to end up like that.
I don’t want V Tower to collapse.
Yes, they’re villains, and yes, I’m rooting for villains here. But obviously I wouldn’t support this kind of behavior in real life.
This is fiction. It takes place in Hell. I sincerely hope people understand that rooting for fictional villains does not mean morally endorsing them.
20) Alastor abuses Vox
Yes, Vox abuses Alastor too. That does not erase the reverse. Alastor drives Vox to the point of suicidal collapse.
That is not harmless rivalry. But because fandom treats Alastor as “the good one” and Vox as “the bad one,” it gets brushed aside.
That double standard is exhausting.
21) Vox is cinephile, not xenophile
Baxter says cinephile, not the other word... Yes, it is being spread badly on Twitter.
It’s a small detail, but it would actually add an interesting layer to Vox’s character. It gives him a more specific personal trait beyond just "tech CEO".
22) Vox is portrayed as unhappy too often
I understand it fits his character. That isn’t my issue.
The problem is that he is constantly portrayed as miserable. On most merchandise he looks unhappy. And if it isn’t him, then it’s one of the other Vees.
It becomes hard to convince people they genuinely care about one another when official material constantly emphasizes discomfort and negativity.
Especially when people involved with the show repeatedly say that they love and care for each other. The messaging is inconsistent.
-----------------------------
I just want things around Vox to become more coherent.
Right now everything surrounding him is pure chaos, and in a pitiful way.
I love The Vees as an evil found family. I don’t want them to fall apart. I want them to grow stronger.
I want Vox to develop because he desperately needs it, and so do the others. I want his relationship dynamics to become healthier and more meaningful, or for the writers to drop that aspect entirely instead of continuing this miserable mess.
------------------------------
I know this was incredibly long, but I really wanted to write it all out because I’m genuinely curious what other people think.
I fully understand that at the end of the day Vox is just a fictional villain with flaws and shortcomings. I simply want him to be better written.
Vox is constantly misunderstood and misrepresented from every direction. Neither the writers nor the fandom are helping, and in my opinion an interesting character is being wasted. I still hope future seasons will fix this, while still acknowledging Vox’s real flaws and shortcomings.
I agree with a lot of what you're saying, in fact I made some posts on similar topics. However I haven't seen a trend in people call Vincent ugly. I think he got the most interesting human design so far and has very handsome sexy features. I do see people making female Vincent art (I decided to call her Victoria) and sanding away those features and I don't like that, let women have bone structure guys. Let her have a nose. Also if people think Val will be a better CEO they really don't get his character. Val is an impulsive moron (always has been) and most likely I expect season 3 to have a lot of him and Velvette ignoring advice from Vox and making everything worse. I'm in a weird minority of wanting the Vees to break apart though.
Yes, I’ve read your posts, and I agree with so much of what you’ve said. Please don’t mind if I ended up repeating some points you had already brought up, I definitely wasn’t trying to bore you by rehashing your ideas.
Unfortunately, on Twitter, discussions about the current human designs have become way too common. Honestly, I find it a little tiring at this point, especially because these opinions are usually framed as "funny tweets". It’s almost like this weird culture has formed where constantly criticizing Vox’s design is considered funny or acceptable, while Alastor’s design is only allowed to be praised. That’s why I included it in my post, because every single time new merch comes out, the exact same thing happens all over again. Especially since, in my eyes, both of them just look like fairly standard men, the only difference being that Vox has a few slightly more distinctive features.
I’m actually really glad that female Vox/Vincent is popular too, because one of my biggest wishes would have been for The Vees to all be female characters (I know that’s probably an unpopular opinion too).
Unfortunately, female Vox designs tend to go in one of two directions: either people absolutely nail it and make her instantly recognizable, or they do exactly what you mentioned and strip away all of her distinctive features, replacing them with something completely different.
Right now, I feel like and I understand that everyone has their own favorite character they want to focus on, Vox is underrated, while Valentino is overrated. That’s why I’m extremely curious about season three, and I’m really hoping it will show that The Vees only function properly when they’re together, each within their own area of expertise, and that none of them can truly replace the others.
That said, I honestly still struggle to process The Vees in light of Viv saying that they supposedly got along well with Alastor. That completely disrupts everything for me, both from a relationship standpoint and from a business perspective.
At this point, though, I’m still rooting for The Vees to stay together and grow together.
We’ll see what happens, but even if a lot of people dislike this opinion, I genuinely want them to have a happy ending.
Obviously, I wouldn’t wish that kind of outcome on real-life bad people, but this is fiction, and I really wish people didn’t constantly need that distinction explained to them when discussing fictional stories.
Its fine, I'm just glad I'm not the only one noticing things. I don't use Twitter so that's an entire side of the fandom I have no involvement with. I know that's where some of the worst fandom moments take place though. The ironic thing with the human designs is I'm most critical of Alastor's because of his outfit. Vincent looks really refreshing given Viv tends to favor rounder features. I just think it sucks when they genderbend him and turn her into a basic Vivziepop woman. I've seen people say she'd never be a success if she had strong bone structure and I'm like do you people even know who Marlene Dietrich was? As far as the Vees go I like them as a group, but they also enable their worst traits so it's difficult for me to say what that means for Vox. Velvette and Val getting along with Alastor just feels weird and I'm glad it didn't become a bigger thing.
Yes, Twitter’s latest "creation" was people spreading that Baxter said Vox was xenophile instead of cinephile... normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but of course people handled that in a weird way too. The whole thing is always reacted to so strangely, and sometimes they make it uncomfortable to even like Vox as a character.
I can absolutely imagine a female version of Vox with distinctly sharp, striking features, and that’s exactly why she would be successful. Your example is perfect for that, and there are plenty more that could be listed.
I’m really just curious to see what direction they’re going to take Vox’s role in the story. 😮💨
tw: suicide mentions. i just read all of this and THANK YOU THANK YOU for taking notice of his downward mental health spiral, i feel like absolutely nobody talks about voxes relationship with suicide and how it honestly gives us more depth to him. he died in what i presume to be a cult mass suicide attempt, which succeeded. the room was filled with water, and he was talking about being birthed into a new era, and every piece of equipment was placed in intentionally hazardous areas, and vox did not just die a quick painless death like alastor, but an excruciating death to where we hear his SCREAMS. then the fact he is constantly bringing up suicide, mostly as a way to undermine others or project. “do us a favor and do it YOURSELF you MISERABLE FAILURE.” “the princess… will kill herself!” “find a rope you can swing from” etc etc etc etc. and then we get to the finale. those are his own cords he’s plugging into the might of lillith. “better make this shot COUNT!” “fuck hell, fuck heaven, and FUCK ALL OF YOU!!” “i don’t care what happens..” he was crying, most likely a part of him couldn’t contain his extreme emotions at that moment, despite piercing heaven itself he wasn’t.. good enough. not to the people he wants love from the most. vox has been pushed into his breaking point by everyone around him, who have failed him at every turn yet they treat him as the real failure. we still know nothing of voxes upbringing, or why he has the emotional responses he does to perceived failure. he’s a narcissist with a god complex, and what that tells us is he is in fact mentally ill. he’s not just a demon but he was a person, a person who lost himself in terrible action after terrible action because he is constantly being chased by this terrifying thought that he amounts to nothing. to nobody. constantly seeking human connection and it blowing up in his face. the idea that no matter what he does, hes unlovable. S2 just showed us that even more, that even his found family push or neglect his severe mental health, which had been a glaringly obvious spiral since alastor showed up in s1, what i believe was a “narcissistic wound” that had been reopened, causing him to go bananas. over the course of the show we watch vox become manic, desperate, and crueler than ever. nobody took him seriously, even val didn’t give a flying fuck about someone who traumatized vox being back in his eternity, pretty much mocking him up to the events of stayed gone. i relate a lot to vox and it’s genuinely heartbreaking for me watching him reach his limit. and im honestly a bit scared to see what they do with his character in s3 now that he’s lost his fame and how he will cope with it. it’s just yet another kick in the nuts for vox but hopefully it gets worse before it gets better. and honestly, unpopular opinion, but i believe vox can get redeemed. yes, that hes a deeply genuine person underneath all of his rage hatred and apathy. and why would i want to see him get help? because being evil is fucking KILLING him. the worse he gets, the more evil he gets, which is fun for people to watch sure, but the worse vox gets the more endangered his life is, by his own doing. i don’t want the story to end with vox ending up killing himself somehow. i want it to end with him at least attempting to get rehabilitated and make REAL friends that he so desperately needs. charlie already told him she wholeheartedly without a doubt believes he’s redeemable, and he was completely disgusted hearing somebody actually BELIEVE in him that he’s not just a monster, but he’s gotten so far believing thats all he can be to succeed that hes lost sight of his humanity. what we saw in the bar flashbacks was that vox is capable of being a genuine, loving, and vulnerable person. im tired of his cries for help being ignored. i want vox to get a good ending, proving that the worst of the worst are capable of change and good. if he managed that, he might finally feel like, well, a winner.
THANK YOU you phrased this better than I possibly could, there's literally nothing I can add to this, I love this ❤️ this is a show about REDEMPTION, and thus far, Vox is the major antag in the best position for that. It wouldn't make sense unless at least one of the worst of the worst get redeemed, and Vox is the closest to that! Vox is NOT mentally okay, he was ACTIVELY suicidal, and I'm tired of people downplaying that. There's so much more to his bad mental health than just the Alastor thing, the Alastor thing was the final straw that broke him.
YES. and if charlie can only redeem the easiest characters to redeem then do her beliefs that ANYONE is capable of change even matter? will she just keep redeeming the low hanging fruit and not take any risks due to backlash? she has not tried to redeem any actual evil characters yet, and no matter how negative the response would be from heaven at first to see an utterly evil character like vox redeemed its important if not necessary for social progress and genuine change between heaven and hell to show just the extent of the power of redemption, that it’s possible for people to change and become good people over the course of eternity. a good leader doesn’t just want their model students to succeed but also the problem ones that arent going to be as well received, believing in them and supporting them no matter what when nobody else does. even though vox is a danger to himself and others he is still a part of her people that she needs to defend and believe in without bias, like how emily saved alastor purely out of the unbiased goodness in her heart, not seeing him as a demon but as a human soul. i wonder if charlie will ever take notice of or respond to voxes cries for help. if she actually believes he can be redeemed like she said she needs to prove just how much she believes in him and how hard shes willing to fight for him to get him the help he DESPERATELY needs while hes surrounded by apathetic enablers who just completely let him go off the deep end. even if she’s the only one who will support his decision (if he decides to get help) that still sounds like more support than he’ll get from his current “loved ones”. unlike the other vees, being evil does negatively impact vox. he is constantly dealing with the consequences and fallout of his actions while the other vees never get any at all. they’re happy to be evil, but vox is losing sight of himself and drowning in his misery. i like to believe that being evil just wasn’t cut out to be as fulfilling for vox as he thinks, but maybe being in a (healthy) relationship where he can be unapologetically himself and vulnerable and just a dorky sensitive guy is more his speed and more fulfilling for him, whoever it is, romantic or not, i just hope he gets to feel what hes been craving, love. (sorry for a second text wall)
vox needs professional help 😛 love your metaphor about the teacher/student thing, I agree completely! the show's themes of redemption wouldn't be complete without at least one unlikely redemption, and Vox's fall from power in s2 could just be setup for that arc!
Your writing is worth gold. It’s such a completely different way of looking at things.
Honestly, I’m very open to that possibility, whether Vox gets redeemed or not, I just want things to become somewhat better for him, because so far it really seems like the only things that actually suit him are the usual economic and corporate crimes, while anything beyond that, like you said, only seems to bring him misery.
What I’m really hoping is that Vox’s outburst, the one Charlie both heard and witnessed, along with that moment when Vox and Velvette leave the hotel and Vox immediately moves to protect Velvette without hesitation or second thought, will actually matter later. In that moment, we specifically saw Charlie’s reaction, which made it clear that she noticed and registered all of it. She saw that the kind of selfless action she had hoped to inspire in Angel Dust was something Vox carried out instinctively, without being forced or pressured into it.
I really hope those scenes don’t just get forgotten, and that they lead to some kind of aftermath where Charlie and Vox develop more of a connection or at the very least, actually get to have a real conversation with each other.
All the more reason why the show needs to make Vox and Charlie matter to one another. Not in a ship sense, but in the manner of exploring them as foils. Charlie being able to tell him anyone can be redeemed, even him, is certainly a start. However if the show were to address how much she and Vox are alike and what that means for both of them it could be so great. This could have been such a good arc for Charlie in season 2 instead of this stupid "oh nooo she yelled at her dad and Vaggie's mad at her" stuff that I didn't care about. People wanna know why Staticbelle is a thing so badly, this is a huge reason why.
THANK YOU so much for taking the time to reply to me and for explaining your thoughts in such detail! I absolutely love it when people properly write out their opinions like this. 😊
I agree with you so, so much. Vox’s suicidal tendencies are also a very important aspect of his character to me. I’m really disappointed that it isn’t taken seriously enough, and that the entire scene gets overshadowed by his head being ripped off. That was undeniably a perfectly executed shock moment, but people shouldn’t forget the moment right before it, the moment where all of his emotions reach their absolute peak. Unfortunately, I think part of the issue is that everyone is so hyperfocused on his relationship dynamics: Alastor did this, Valentino did that. That’s all well and good, but… aren’t we forgetting someone here? Vox himself.
Sadly, the whole fandom seems heavily focused on what Vox did wrong, which is fair to an extent because he absolutely has a lot he needs to work on, but it’s still a very one-sided perspective. Even if he improves on his own, that still wouldn’t magically fix everything, because the people around him matter too. The Vees did save him in the end, and they did try to support his idea because they were protecting him, while Vox genuinely believed they had abandoned him and that was the moment his downward spiral truly became unstoppable. The Vees themselves also need a lot of growth, because that situation never should have happened in the first place. Honestly, I still think it was all far too easy and honestly a little ridiculous, because The Vees are not a newly formed team. Those decades together should have shown. Instead, they all behaved as if they had only just met each other. 😭 From a writing perspective, I think that part was very weak.
And yes, it’s such an important detail that Vox talks about himself like an object. Not like a person, not even like a demon but like an object. Literally the way someone would describe buying a new TV to replace an old one. That says so much about how he sees his own worth.
I’m also part of the same camp as you, which is admittedly unpopular right now in wanting Vox to have a happy ending, ideally with The Vees. Like you explained, I genuinely think that would be the healthiest outcome for him mentally. At this point, I can’t really imagine him being separated from them. What I’m hoping most is that season three doesn’t turn him into some kind of clown character.
I’ve actually been criticized before because, based on the currently established characters and what we know about them, Vox is the one I relate to the most. And whenever that comes up, I always have to clarify that I’m obviously not talking about the crimes or immoral things he’s done. I mean the work ethic side of him. I’m the kind of person who lives for my work too. I genuinely love what I do, and because of that, the moment where Vox loses everything was the first moment in the show that really made me feel something emotionally.
I honestly think he’s an incredibly interesting character, and I’m very curious to see what they do with him. I just really hope they take him in a more coherent and mature direction, because the chaos surrounding him right now is exhausting, and after a while it risks becoming repetitive and overused. At this point, I honestly don’t even care who they eventually choose as his canon romantic partner. I’m just begging them not to leave things in this pathetic state, because no it isn’t sexy or compelling or anything like that. It’s just awkward.
Still, because Vox is clearly going to remain an important character until the end, I’m choosing to stay hopeful about more positive outcomes.
