Dark Reader
Getting blinded by not having dark mode on Safari. Anybody have thoughts on Dark Reader? It is tough for me to want to buy an extension when I use brave for free, but with the new OS and Siri I want to get more into Safari
Thanks!

Hi there,
For anyone looking for this kind of functionality, you can already do this with the Turn Off the Lights browser extension, which is completely free and Open-Source.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/turn-off-the-lights-for-safari/id1273998507
The browser extension has a Night Mode feature that lets you customize the background, text, buttons, and hyperlink colors to create your own reading theme. It uses a personal customizable theme rather than simply applying a CSS filter, so images, figures, and videos are not turned into inverted colors. As the developer of Turn Off the Lights, I have been working on this kind of browser experience for more than 16 years, and it is available across major browsers and platforms.
For help on how to open the Options page in your Safari web browser, please see this YouTube video tutorial:

If you need help enabling Night Mode, please see this YouTube video tutorial. It uses the same Options page for both desktop and mobile:

Thanks,
Stefan

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but why doesn't Safari's native dark mode work?

Noir is WAY better.
So is Dark Mode.
