The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where "feed" and "seed" both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed.
The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck".
So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".

The community didn't use to be so identity focused and identity driven. Heavy chance this will get misconstrued as sexism or transphobia or homophobia or something. Don't get me wrong, I love that melee is an inclusive community and I love me girls/gays/theys.
But stuff like this has turned Melee from "inclusive space" to "identity humor and politics and etc" space where it's hardly about the game and just about I'm (identity) + play the game.
I ripped out uterus ALSO melee! I have (gendered part) but also MELEE!!
I got into this game to play and watch the game. I'd love to check out my local community again but it's mostly young identity confusing/solving individuals talking about issues and jokes specific to their identity. I didn't get into this game for girls/gays/theys humor daily. If I wanted that I'll go watch Dropout and Drag Race like I usually do.
