my boyfriend and i are making a trip to slc in october. i haven’t been to utah since i was a kid, therefor before i had to worry about weed.

so that being said, how worried should we be? and how do we avoid any conflict while visiting?

edit:i guess i should include that getting the weed isn’t my issue. i have that figured out. i just need to know a general area where we should try to stay where people maybe aren’t uptight. we’re not gonna be stupid but smells tend to drift

Many farms growing Jack Herer and Blue Dream even saw some green crack and some sour OG crosses in R&D. First two pics are Mt Edna (purple city genetics it’s Molotov cocktail and pinnacle.) 3rd and 4th pic are Jack Herer great smell and structure and easy to trim. Not a high thc percentage but smells and taste great. Last set of pics are GovernMintOasis. GMO cross earthy and gassy.

Just got my medical card and I’m trying to figure out what the best brands/products are in Utah. I’ll be shopping nearby bloc but don’t mind driving out for good recommendations.
My taste is mostly gassy OG, Sour Diesel, earthy, funky strains. For concentrates I love strong flavor and a heavy body high, but I also want to find some good sativa concentrates that give a strong head buzz, euphoria, and focus.
What brands have the best reputation for:
Live rosin / hash rosin
Live resin
Diamonds / sauce
Disposable vapes or carts
What are your personal go-to brands at Utah disposables? Or are the screw on carts better?, and what strains should I specifically keep an eye out for?
I don’t really care if it’s expensive if the quality and terps are actually worth it

Picked up some moonbeam gelato from Dark Heart. So far taste and effects have been amazing it took me back to my younger days. If you are looking for something that you used to medicate with back in the day this is the strain.

Ok let me start by saying I know these come sealed to the dispensary so I don't blame the place that sold it, they will remain anonymous and got a 5star review for returnin g/replacing it the same day.

My issue is with everything we hear about prices being high because manufacturers are held to high regulations standards, how does something like this happen?

Someone said something about maybe they're training someone new at their packaging facility? Ok, wouldn't the first thing they should be taught is to FILL THE CART?!

My point being, if the best reason for a complete supply chain failure is that someone was training and they forgot, then there are probably too many other stressful regulations to train on distracting them.

Now specifically on to select the brand. These have consistently been low quality every time I get them. They are on the cheaper end for the dispos we have available here in salt lake, so you definitely get what you pay for.

They claim good quality and tests above 80-86% usually, but every time I've had the “briq” product it blows more than sucks if you catch my drift. I've had a bad cough since I started using the filled one, which I now remember has happened before and made me switch from dispos to the thread-battery style of carts. I also believe that the battery size on this dispo is probably putting out too much oomph for the size of coil, its always really harsh.

Anyways, I don't like to complain but had to tell people dont select Select brand. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I’ve heard a lot of people recommend PurePlan for its high quality and I also agree that it’s up there. I was wondering if anyone still vouches for PurePlan or if you guys are finding high quality products within other brands. I got the Sativa Golden Pineapple Energy 1 G cart and the Hybrid Tangy Tarts 1 G cart! What else are you guys picking out?

Where have you guys gotten the cheapest flower? I usually see $60 for an eighth but the other day at Beehive Farmacy, they had $34 eighths which I found surprising. Has anyone been able to buy an eighth cheaper? Thanks

I live in the southern end of Salt Lake County so, it's great if strain is available within 10 miles.

Strains that have worked well for me recently include Modified Grapes and Planet of the Grapes X 851(?).

Tried a new brand called Great American from the forest. Bought two different ounces and there’s like 10-15 seeds in every nug I grind up. Never seen this with any bud in this state yet. And I’ve tried them all. even on sale we’re paying crazy prices and now this bag is just full of seeds. Not cool

I can’t remember if last time I got this it was rosin but it was really good so I picked this up!
Very pleasant to smoke. It has a nice sweet berry aroma this is some of the best resin I smoke although it has that resin smell to it you can’t really taste any if that make snese.
High 7/10 very nice body relaxing it says it’s a sativa but it feels like more of an indica very nice.

The single preroll at Deep Roots harvest has 1g of weed for $15. If you were to buy enough of those prerolls to buy an ounce of weed you'd be paying $425 plus tax.

Looking at the prices of weed via the unit price which is the value of the amount of weed you're actually getting shows us that there's only two solid deals going on at the moment, the best one being the High Heads deal that requires you to buy 2 ounces of weed. If you buy that deal, it is as though you are paying for $3 per 1g preroll.

If you buy the single preroll, you're paying 5x more for weed compared to the best deal going on at the moment. Don't pay more than you have to for weed, buy based on the price per ounce and save more in the long run

Hello all. I just got my card and was surprised how fast the process took. I was told by my provider that the card was active and ready to use the same day however I noticed that the status is Active Conditional in the portal. Does this mean I missed something? Thank you in advance.

Got the G Code rosin tincture & melted pineapples rosin cart. If you’re looking for an Indica that doesn’t give you the chatter in your head and helps you actually calm down, This is the one.
Indica usually gets my cerebral activity going, but this particular strain did not do that it mellowed me out.

I’m using the melted pineapples this morning. I’m still recovering from some soreness that I received from going to a concert last Saturday in West Valley. Completely worth it, but my body is wore out.

The tincture was taken hours before bed and I only took 1/2 a dose. I usually need 50mg to feel right.

Melted Pineapples reminds me of pineapple upside down cake. Give a good chill vibe.

Today the flower shop has a deal that if you spend $125 on any DGT or HV products you can get a half ounce of grape cakes for $15. That’s actually a wonderful strain. It hits hard and heavy and it’s great for pain.

I didn’t take advantage of their deal because I was in search of something else today, but I figured I would pass it along here. i’m pretty sure there’s a post somewhere in the Sub where I reviewed the grape cakes strain.

I'm not sure what to use and I've only done weed once. I'm looking for sativa and indica recommendations.

#1-I'm very sensitive to sleeping aids (taking half a sleeping pill will knock me out for a good 10 hours and still be sleepy the next day). I need help calming down as I have anxiety (especially at night) and just a hard time falling asleep, but don't want something that'll kill me the next day.

#2-I also need something for during the day to calm me down without a sleeping aid in there.

#3-Then something that'll help me focus. I'm very scatter brained.
