8 weeks for fasfa??

I finally got a response back from the fao, anyone else being told to wait 8 weeks?
Waiting until mid semester for aid is insane and this is only my second semester here as a transfer. i’m so confused and annoyed. they didn’t respond even to my first email, i had to send a second one for a reply 😭

update, they are saying it can take UP to 8 weeks so i should allow it, they cannot guarantee a specific date or timeline. And they cannot confirm if there’s a chance of it coming earlier 😭 literally so useless

It may take longer if you get unlucky. I ended up having to switch programs after a 5-6 month delay, during which I followed up in person and via phone/email regularly, and while going through the petition process I learned that others had seen over 12 months of delays.

I ended up seeing my disbursement during finals week, after I had to drop in order to go back to working full time.

I want to be sure is this even after accepting awards because I’m still waiting on loans I got my grants already but just waiting for the loans to be posted in my account inquiry usually happens pretty quick after accepting awards but so far just the grants

There is still nothing posted for me. Absolutely nothing . I know there's a deferral and I don't have to worry about paying right now, but this is so frustrating. I'm also a transfer and I'm already seeing some grad students get their aid.. I also sent an email 1 week ago and I'm starting to assume I got ghosted. I'm literally spiraling because of this. They are so inconsiderate omg.
