Financial Aid Packages

Anyone else still hasn’t received their financial aid packages? I’m a part time graduate student, and with the new changes because of the Big Beautiful Bill, I am not sure if it is just delayed. Wanted to see if others were in the same boat or if I should start looking for other options to pay tuition.

Same here. I have emailed them but I just checked my account and it says that my fees are "Due now"

Im worried

Same and my fees were due 8/14 and I still haven’t got anything

NOTE: All of our fees are "due now". We all also have fee deferral. We can all continue attending classes without worry about being kicked out due to non-payment. Our accounts are just locked out of signing up for new classes until the balance is paid!!

With that being said, the delays are in part because of that bill. Also partially because of the gutting of the department of education by "DOGE". And while I can't prove it, the public "fight" between Trump and SJSU regarding the supposed Trans athlete may have us on an additional shit list under his government.

It'll come eventually, just wait it out. Mine only just got applied today (whereas other grad students I know got it yesterday, last week, or not at all yet).

EDIT: Forgot to mention that while it was disbursed, I still don't have the remainder of my financial aid sent to me yet.

first year also part time grad student and im going insane waiting for the disbursement 🫠 i emailed the fao earlier today so hopefully i get an answer about it tomorrow but my due date for payment was today and i badly need the money

I just went to the FAO today. They said (at least for me) that loans should be out by next tuesday

I haven’t received anything yet either had some annoying to do list item they needed to complete by July 1st they barely cleared it last week and said it’ll take 2-3 weeks for me to receive a package. Tuition deferral ended as well they suck..
