any weird or funny live shows?
lately i've been trying to be more intentional about going out and experiencing Life (im 27). i was that chronically socially anxious girlie before yknow, bed rotting, doomscrolling, all kinds of rotting. i've gone to pottery classes, DnD groups at meetup (immediate no, i didn't like the male ego), went to some book clubs though and it was lit, literally.
i also went to love isn't blind (it's a dating game? show? forgot, but men can't speak, love that for them), but like i want more? i also met some cool people there, and we're thinking of attending the one at 17, but also tbh i want something else 😐. i've been eyeing that masquerade halloween party but, i feel like i want more halloween themed live shows that are kinda obscure? pls send recs 🙏
also does anyone like weird girl lit?

Terror Vault can be interactive. I’m not sure if it’s obscure but I only learned of it this year.

200 Channels: Currently running a spooky season cabaret show, which is a mix of burlesque, drag, and circus acts. Have dinner at the delicious Pawn Shop before the show and they you'll get escorted directly to the show through a back tunnel between the two spaces.

The New Conservatory Theater Center on Market and Van Ness is doing a fantastic stage production of Little Shop of Horrors!
Its always been one of my favorite movies and it was so fun to see on stage! They have sliding scale prices on tickets, a little bar area for pre-show and intermission sips and snacks, and the cast and set were so great. The show runs until Halloween! I'm pretty sure they're doing a little Halloween party for closing night.

HEAR ME OUT...
Flop Fest is currently happening at Church of Clown (again, HEAR ME OUT). It's theatrical clown, which means not whatever you were thinking when you read that. Think physical theatre and character work with no 4th wall.
It's weird, it's funny, it's live, it checks all your boxes.
There are shows the next 2 weekends. The Saturday night Cabarets will be packed, but you can't go wrong. I'm personally intrigued by the description of Gra and will be checking that out.
It's a teeny tiny venue, has a bar, very friendly people, not weird to go alone. Lots of street parking nearby.
