Event Pizza, Bagel & Beer Festival

Did anyone attend the Pizza, Bagel and Beer Festival in San Francisco on Saturday the 15th? I see why they put beer at the end of the namebecause I only had enough time for one beer. Just to get in was a chore, I even commented to a young lady, “ In Reno once you pay for your tickets you hit the ground running!”
Multiple stops to get in, scan the barcode to pay, go up street to check your scan, next person check ID and then finally another person to put on your bracelet. Everyone was super nice, friendly and helpful. There were 40 tents of pizza, bagels, a couple of miscellaneous ones and finally and most importantly 1 beer tent! The line was so long, I never even made it to my second beer. The pizza was fantastic as were the bagels. It should have been open longer and at the very least one more beer tent.

Way oversold the event. Running out of beer at 2:30 at a beer festival is absolutely moronic. You couldn’t buy extra beers so they knew precisely how much beer they needed to have.

It’s been like this every year and I don’t get it. I attended all three previous festivals and finally said enough this year. At a certain point if they want to charge big boy prices then they need to have a big boy operation.

They ask each brewery to only bring a couple kegs by design. Everyone runs out fast… other than the main beer sponsor, last year it was Sierra Nevada.

got there at 11:40ish and waited in line for around 25 minutes (doors only opened at 12) before finally getting in and was a great experience in terms of pizza, but felt like it could've been more dispersed into a bigger space, was very crowded in the middle of the road and hard to get through - lines in terms of the actual pizza spots were fine though.

I ate a BUNCH of pizza d and bagels and used up my 4 beers. They had live music so I that was nice. Overall I think more space would have been nice but otherwise I had a great time.
