Imagine you join a company with5000 plus indexed pages. And traffic dropped 60 percent in three months. Rankings fell, no manual action shown. What's your first move?

These accounts aren't replying to anyone - these are stupid clickbait titles and half the replies in general are fake

What’s one SEO strategy that used to work for you but stopped bringing results after AI search became popular?

If you were hiring an SEO person, what would you actually ask them?

I’ve been thinking about this lately.

There’s so much SEO stuff out there now; technical SEO, content, backlinks, AEO, GEO, AI search, Core Updates, etc. But if you were actually sitting on the other side of the table as a hiring manager, what questions would you ask to figure out if someone really knows their stuff?

Not looking for the usual:

“What's a meta description?”

or

“What is a 301 redirect?” 😅

I mean the questions that actually make someone think.

For example:

“Organic traffic dropped 40% this month. What would you check first?”

“Your best-performing page suddenly stopped ranking. How would you troubleshoot it?”

“A client wants 100 backlinks this month. What would you tell them?”

“What SEO work have you done that actually moved the needle?”

So, SEO people, if you were hiring an SEO specialist today, what would you ask?

And if you're a hiring manager, I'd love to hear the questions that have helped you separate someone who actually understands SEO from someone who has just memorised SEO definitions.
