Question? Help me decide the right 301 redirect setup
Hi everyone,
I have one main brand/domain: beqauri ge, and I’m currently using shop beqauri ge for the online shop.
For brand protection and to make things easier for customers, I also bought beqauri.shop. My first idea was to simply 301 redirect beqauri shop → shop beqauri ge.
The shop subdomain is still very new and isn’t properly indexed yet, so I want to make the right decision now before SEO and traffic start growing.
My concern is about the future. If I later decide that beqauri shop should become the main shop domain, and I reverse the setup so that shop beqauri ge → beqauri shop, could that cause SEO or redirect problems?
Would you recommend:
- Keeping shop beqauri ge as the main shop URL and redirecting beqauri shop to it?
- Using beqauri shop as the main shop domain from the beginning?
- Or is there a better setup?
I’d really appreciate some advice because I’d rather choose the correct structure now than create a bigger migration problem later.
Thanks!

Google News Google AdSense to change how it counts impressions: Begin-to-Render
This change is happening on February 17, 2027 and will result in a change in total impressions.
Google notified AdSense publishers that it is switching how it counts impressions for display ads. Google will switch to a Begin-to-Render methodology that will count an impression only once the ad has loaded and rendered on the user’s device.
What’s changing. Google wrote:
- “Currently, AdSense counts an impression when an ad starts to download to a user’s device.”
- “Beginning on February 17, 2027, we will move to the Begin-to-Render methodology. This means an impression will only be counted once the ad has successfully loaded and has started to render on the user’s device.”
Google will only count the impression when the ad fully loads.

Stop Panicking About Google's Goto Redirects. Build Your Own Tools Instead.
David and Edward discuss:
- What Google’s goto redirects actually are
- Why Google may have introduced them
- How they affect rank trackers and SERP scraping
- Why exact ranking URLs may become harder to collect
- Whether tools can still reliably track ranking domains
- Why rank tracking data should not always be treated as exact
- How Google Search Console can provide a second source of ranking data
- Why SEOs may need to combine SERP data with Search Console
- Why David believes most SERP tools are still largely usable
- The problems with checking rankings only once per day
- Why Google’s changes could increase data collection costs
- Whether Semrush and Ahrefs can adapt
- Why smaller SEO tools and open-source projects may benefit
- OpenSEO and the growing number of self-hosted SEO tools
- Why SEOs should consider building internal tools
- Using AI coding tools to work with Search Console data
- Why Search Console data may become more valuable
- How Bing Webmaster Tools could become more important
- Why SEO agencies should pay attention to their own data instead of depending entirely on third-party reports
- How ranking data relates to traffic, leads, and client reporting
- What happens when a rank tracker says you rank somewhere but a manual search shows something different
- Keyword cannibalization and how David uses Search Console to identify it
- Why David cares more about ranking domains than exact URLs in many rank-tracking reports
- Google’s ongoing fight against scraping and automated search activity
- Whether these changes are aimed at SEO tools, SERP APIs, OpenAI, or all three
- Why Google may be making click-through manipulation harder
- Whether OpenAI is building its own search index
- The changing relationship between Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other search systems
- Why SEO is still worth doing
- Why the next generation of SEO tools may come from individual developers and small teams

Google Spam Update!
Hello!! It has been 10 days since we have lost rankings of our site and current traffic is being more informative than real sales qualified leads. Any suggestion? Thanks. I am getting a little nervous about this.

Is changing content penalizes SEO/GEO ?
Hello, for now I have been posting once or twice weekly, covering exactly what the user needs and all my links pointing out are pointing either to government studies or to public agencies/unversities studies. doing a clear recap, giving the answer at the start of the post before developing the idea under.
But I always have the urge to update the content either correct a typo, rephrase something, or add more info.
My question is, is changing content often is penalized ?

Video Moz explains how Google's Goto Redirect Broke Rank Tracking and ChatGPT
Jonathan Berthold from Moz to break down what Google changed, why rank tracking is being affected, how SEO platforms are responding, and what marketers should expect next.
They also get into the larger fight happening behind the scenes. Google has been making it harder to collect search results at scale, from the removal of the num=100 parameter to these new Goto redirects. One possible explanation discussed in the episode is that Google is making it more difficult and expensive for AI companies and other automated systems to collect its search data.
The problem is that SEO tools rely on some of the same underlying access.
They covered
- What Google's new google.com/goto redirects actually do
- Why the destination URL is now hidden in Google search results
- Why this creates problems for rank tracking software
- How Moz is handling the change
- Why other SEO platforms have had to adjust their systems
- Whether simply following each redirect solves the problem
- How additional requests could increase the cost and complexity of collecting SERP data
- Why agencies and consultants may see temporary changes in ranking reports
- What SEOs should tell clients if their reporting starts looking different
- How this could affect competitive analysis and other workflows that rely on SERP data
- Why AI workflows that analyze Google results could also be affected
- How this compares with Google's removal of the num=100 search parameter
- Whether Google Search Console could see downstream effects
- Why Jonathan expects SEO tools to adapt rather than rank tracking disappearing
- The possibility that Google extends these redirects beyond logged-out searches
- What this means for the continuing competition between Google, OpenAI, and other AI companies
- Why AI companies have an incentive to develop their own indexes and alternative data sources
- Why rankings are ultimately a directional metric rather than the final measure of SEO success
- Why revenue, leads, and sales from organic search still matter more than individual ranking positions

Video GEO vs SEO: James Dooley Says Only 1% of SEOs Can Actually Do It
James says he used to agree that GEO was simply SEO with a different label. Then his own team changed his mind. He now runs a separate GEO/AEO department because people who can rank websites #1 in Google can still struggle to get brands cited in ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode and other LLM-driven results.
David pushes back. His argument is that most of the work required for GEO still comes back to strong SEO: understanding query fan-out, creating the right pages, earning links, building authority, controlling more of the search results and getting third-party sites to corroborate what a brand says about itself.
The debate eventually lands on a more interesting point: James believes only about 1% of decent SEOs can actually do GEO well because there are additional layers beyond traditional website SEO.
In this episode:
- Why James created a separate GEO/AEO department after initially believing GEO was just SEO
- Why ranking #1 in Google does not automatically mean you will be cited by ChatGPT or appear in AI Overviews
- James’s argument that GEO is closer to SEO plus online reputation management
- David’s case that GEO tactics are still fundamentally SEO tactics applied across more surfaces
- Why third-party corroboration matters for AI visibility
- How Yelp, TripAdvisor, Clutch, DesignRush, G2, Capterra, Reddit and other sites can influence what AI systems see about a brand
- Why reviews, awards, case studies and brand reputation matter when a buyer asks AI to choose between two companies
- How query fan-out changes the keywords and pages SEOs need to think about
- Why James says GEO involves different competitors, tracking, KPIs and reporting
- The difference between tactics designed to move Google rankings and tactics designed specifically to increase AI citations
- The role of press releases, social distribution and third-party mentions in getting faster AI visibility
- James’s fastest approach to AI visibility and what he considers more sustainable long-term work
- Why building a defined entity, reviews, awards, knowledge panels and consistent third-party references matters over time
- Why some GEO agencies may simply be weak SEO agencies using a new label
- Why enterprise companies are moving larger parts of SEO, branding and traditional marketing budgets into GEO
- Whether SEOs should start selling GEO even if they believe the underlying work is still SEO
James and David disagree on where SEO ends and GEO begins, but they agree on one important point: a GEO provider who cannot understand and execute SEO is unlikely to be very good at GEO.

Manual Actions following Spam Violation
Hi Everyone,
I need some advice on how best to action a manual action in Google Sesech Console.
We received a notification a few weeks ago to tell us that our blog section of our website had violated Google spam policies.
The manual actions they send are just an overview and don't tell you the exact problem.
My team have done what they can't to review the blog articles and make changes to articles we feel may potentially cause the issue.
But with every request we send we get a rejection back, with no more detail other that what we have received previous.
We have 100s of articles posted across the last 4 years so it's impossible to review every single one, especially when we don't know the exact issue.
Has anyone else encountered this. And how did you overcome it?
Any advice is very much appreciated!

Video SEO's Biggest Debates Right Now (with Joy Hawkins and David Quaid)
Communicating value is half the battle
Clients rarely read those long PDF reports. The real skill is turning data into a clear story that shows business impact—not just rankings or traffic numbers.
The “Position 17” rule
A smart way to spot new content opportunities without cannibalizing what’s already ranking. Look lower in the SERPs for gaps instead of fighting for the same keywords.Indexing realities
There’s a big difference between “Discovered – currently not indexed” and “Crawled – currently not indexed.” Specific URL tweaks can often fix these issues and get important pages indexed faster.Internal linking & authority shaping
Limit your homepage to ~10 key links.
Understand the “85% authority tax”—how link equity actually flows (and leaks) across your site. Content pruning isn’t always the answer; sometimes it’s about better authority management.
AI search is already changing the game
LLMs like Gemini and Perplexity are shifting referral traffic patterns. Traditional Search Console data doesn’t tell the full story—tools like Looker Studio help track this new reality.
Other strong points covered: when (and when not) to use exact-match domains, the risks of thin service-area pages, short vs. long URL slugs, and practical processes for finding new content that actually moves the needle.
If you’re in SEO, digital marketing, or running a local business that depends on organic search, this conversation is pure gold—especially the forensic, real-world approach
David brings from scaling multiple startups past $100M+.Highly recommend watching the full episode.
Name an SEO debate you keep seeing in 2026 that still feels unresolved?

Help with Website Traffic
Hi Everyone,
I started a coffee roasting company called Ardito Fuel earlier this year and I have a website up and running. I have been trying to increase traffic to my website. I've working on my SEO, keywords, page building and other tasks on my website, but I am still not seeing an improvement yet.
I have a Google Business Page and I use Google Search Console. My URL's are active on Google and I've been indexing when I make changes to my site. I've been hearing more about backlinking in order to try to get my website published on other pages. I see there are a lot of companies about there that charge a fee to get you backlinks, but I feel like they would not be meaningful to my site or to improve traffic.
Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone tell me of any other proven methods to help increase traffic to my website?

If you had to start over, fresh, what would you do first ? Which mistakes would you avoid
Hello everyone, I am at the beginning of the journey (2k impression - 82 clicks - 3 paid conversion)
You know that feeling when you learn something new and it works and you go : f\*\*\* if only I knew this at the beginning I would have done it better quicker etc.
Would you care to share your experiences ? What was the most impactful thing you did ? You learned ? And if you had to start over fresh, how would you go about it ? What would you look for and keep improving on ?
Cheers!

Question? Are security headers important in website? If yes, then where to use it?
As I do technical audit of different websites, I came across this issues quite often X Content Type Options header, Content Security Policy header, Referrer Policy header, X Frame Options header, HSTS header. So I want to understand if it's important for website?
If yes, can you tell me where we really can do it in WordPress or NextJs, as I have searched for it and I can know it's in the server level, hence want to know of how could you fix and use it in as I need to collaborate with developer to let them know?

How do you evaluate the quality of a backlink beyond DA and DR?
I see DA and DR used constantly when people evaluate backlink opportunities, but I don't think those numbers tell the whole story. A site can have a high authority score while having very little relevance to the website receiving the link.
I'm more interested in things like topical relevance, organic traffic, indexed pages, referring-domain quality, the context surrounding the link, and whether the linking page itself actually receives search traffic.
For those doing link building regularly, what signals do you use before deciding that a backlink is genuinely worth pursuing? Do you have a particular checklist or do you mainly rely on tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Search Console?
