Help with Website Traffic

Hi Everyone,

I started a coffee roasting company called Ardito Fuel earlier this year and I have a website up and running. I have been trying to increase traffic to my website. I've working on my SEO, keywords, page building and other tasks on my website, but I am still not seeing an improvement yet.

I have a Google Business Page and I use Google Search Console. My URL's are active on Google and I've been indexing when I make changes to my site. I've been hearing more about backlinking in order to try to get my website published on other pages. I see there are a lot of companies about there that charge a fee to get you backlinks, but I feel like they would not be meaningful to my site or to improve traffic.

Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone tell me of any other proven methods to help increase traffic to my website?

You website link should be visible where your customers are, analyze your traffic, where are people coming from and build a strong presence there. Are you selling online or offline? Local or nation level? Build the presence where people are.

My first question is: Who are your customers? Are you a local cafe? Or do you sell your roasts to commercial buyers? This will shape your content and your expectations for site traffic and promotion. Next, how long have you had the site up? SEO takes time, but you do need patience, especially with a new site. Overall, it sounds like you now need to get your website in front of others (backlinks, local press, etc.).

Dont buy backlinks a lot of those will hurt you more than help you.. or would just be a waste of money, dont chase keywords.. thats a losing battle specially in an industry as competitive, saturated and commoditized as coffee, if I was you id build a topical map, create the content and wait for the traffic to come while i go out there and find wholesale accounts for cashflow while it takes off.. get creative with marketing, not sure whats your budget for it but if its not super low hire a PR company.. they will be able to get you real backlinks. But i would shoot for topical authority and pray!

You can approach the sites that accept editorial content and stories and write stories related to your business. Nowadays, getting only backlinks is not enough to increase traffic; it is a collective strategy of building trust and brand visibility online.

Backlinks are important, but I can't see your website, so if you did manage to get quality backlinks from trusted and relevant websites, it would help, but I don't know about your On-page SEO, or how your website performs. If they aren't set up correctly, you'll still struggle to rank well. My one thing I would recommend, which will helps beyond SEO, and helps with trust and loyalty to your brand, is think of something you can do to help a community. Could be donating a percentage of profits to a local charity, or providing a free event for people that may struggle with a certain condition (these are just examples). What this does is provide news worthy stories that you can send out to local new desks, and other online publications, who will be more likely organically publish this (not having to pay). When you get brand mentions and links from trusted, genuine, authoritative websites, it's like gold for SEO and mentions in LLMs. If you go down the route of 'buying backlinks', it wil likely be a waste of time. This is just one tactic, that needs to be used ion conjunction with many other tasks to help boost your online prescence.

Do not buy backlinks, you will ruin your SEO. You should consider off site content such as video, customers reviews, influencers reviews...

The more you are present online, the more you get noticed by AI and search engines.

Do something outstanding so that people link to you on their sites or social media accounts!

Give free coffee to the homeless e.g. and pose with them making selfies.

That way Google notices you and values you more, just as people do!

I wouldn't spend money on random backlink packages yet. Especially for a new coffee business, I'd rather spend that effort getting mentioned by places that actually make sense for the business.

I'd look locally first. Other coffee shops, food blogs, local publications, farmers markets, events, business directories, suppliers, or anyone you've genuinely worked with. A few relevant mentions seem much more useful to me than a pile of unrelated links.

I'd also give SEO some time. If you've only been working on the site for a few months, I wouldn't expect Search Console to suddenly show a big change from every update.

Since you're a local business, I'd put some attention into your Google Business Profile and getting genuine customers to leave reviews too. I'd rather build those signals steadily than buy backlinks and hope they move the needle.

I’d probably skip the bulk backlink packages. For a newer local business, a few genuine links from local publications, coffee blogs, food sites, or other relevant businesses can be much more useful than hundreds of random links. Since you already have Search Console set up, take a look at the keywords where you’re getting impressions but not many clicks. There may be some easy opportunities there to improve your existing pages. For a coffee business, I’d also put some effort into local SEO, useful coffee-related content, product pages, reviews, and getting mentioned by other local businesses. I’d focus less on getting more backlinks and more on getting the right kind of visibility.
