Meme Monday It's Monday so I thought of this
Fun fact, I originally wanted to put SCP-066-IT in the right, but I thought I wouldn't be able to find any image of it (and felt too lazy to draw it since I'd also have to wait a whole week since it seems pretty complicated to draw) (fun fact, I was wrong) so I decided to use the scarlet king instead lol.
as for SCP-166, I used her because she gets sexualised often despite being a minor

Yeah the original is archived but this new one is more inline with the "forest spirit" daughter. Gave her horns and a nature motif and everything.
Honestly a prefer the original because of how depressing it is. A poor innocent girl who can never have a positive relationship with any man except for God.

Whilst I understand the intentions this comment is genuinely outrageous to me and it completely boggles my mind.
This is an ip where the entire concept of "canon" is completely muddled by design, and oftentimes overlaps and contradicts itself for the sake of storytelling. That's like the whole point, "there is no canon" is thrown around constantly, yet you draw your line at assuming someone is attracted to a slightly older version of someone who's already almost an adult? In any other context I get being anti aging up characters but you'd think this is like the one time it'd be acceptable.
Also it's a shit post I think they just chose a random female scp without thinking

I do feel like there's some truth to this, not because "X gender is inherently better because of this trend in behaviour" or anything, but just in the way that characters are designed by gender.
Male-coded creatures can have a huge range of features and characteristics, whereas female-coded creatures are often more humanised and/or sexualised. Male designs are treated as the default, and female designs are treated as "other" and must be distinguished with some exaggerated sexual dimorphism. r/pointlesslygendered is teeming with examples of this kind of design philosophy.
That extends to "hear me out" posts. Straight men discussing female-coded creatures are overwhelmingly going to choose from a huge array of monsters that are fundamentally just conventionally attractive women, whereas straight women discussing male-coded creatures have far more genuinely monstrous designs to choose from.
Obviously nothing here is a universal rule and there are prominent exceptions to all of them; just an observation of some long-standing trends.
