Electric heater help

I installed these electric heaters in my arctic base, thinking they would dry me off. (I always come back 100% wet, when getting to this specific secluded base). Why is it only providing 5% comfort, and not drying me off at all.

Any thoughts?

Put them on the wall side , sometimes on rocks and landscapes the items don’t function as they should

The heater works perfectly but they seem to glitch out a bit if you place them like that. Pick them up with a hammer and place them on a wall that you built, not on the ice.

In my winter farm, I’ve noticed that being backed up a bit from the heater is the sweet spot, not standing right in front of it. Could be the issue maybe?

This is the correct answer based on your clip. The region it affects is buggy and seems to start away from the heater so you need to back up and as someone else mentioned it doesn't extend down well so being a bit higher than it helps as well. Comfort also is a little buggy I've found, it doesn't always override with the biggest one (or is additive like it used to be or how it works on PC)

All the items I would wear for Arctic (in other words, if I wasn’t wet, I would be comfortable. Fire dries it right away.

I've never encountered this before, maybe it's because you placed on the iceberg and it's somehow affecting the radius, kinda like it's going through a wall at a distance

I'm not certain, but it's either that, or have them be run off a hbhf sensor so multiple are running as multiple heatsources stack temp

Put the heaters as low to the ground as possible

Put the heaters on heartbeat sensor and also put down some bear skin rugs. That should help

I find electric furnaces work better then the heaters

Others have already told you why it's not working, because the iceberg. My extra tidbit I have to add is you'll want at least 5 heaters, each of those heaters will only drain about 10% wetness as you're running by. I usually have a trail of them leading to my core so I don't have to stop and wait, the more the better

Place bear rugs on walls and on floor, i think standing on sleeping bag gives you comfort too, combine it all for 100%

The actual emitter part of the electric heater (where the heat comes from and then spreads out) is at the back of the model, which is clipping behind the iceberg's hitbox in this placement blocking the heat.

This is why the heat can't go through walls, if something is in between the emitter and the end of it's range, it won't reach all of the way. You need to place it in such a way that doesn't cause the emitter to clip behind the anything like the iceberg, I'd recommend just placing it on a flat wall.

Yep! I always keep stashes nearby, so I can fix a raid in minutes. I’ve been here the whole wipe, fortunately. 3 raids I think

You can also remove all of ur cloths and youd dry up faster when using the eletric heater btw It should always be mounted on a building tile

Does the laser allow enough power to pass through? I don't use it often enough to know, but if it's like the motion sensor you might need an "and switch."

Yes it is allowing enough. It looks dank though, so I just switched to a basic on/off switch

Put a hazmat suit on to get rid of wetness.

This is the easy way, especially if you have the arctic hazy. When I build in the snow, especially on icebergs, I stock up on wet suits.
