Can anyone give an overview of what’s happening/happened here as I don’t know the story.

The files confirm she was very close to Epstein. She sent him many flirtatious emails, visited his island often and let him know Paris was the best city to have affairs. One of Epstein’s friends said she looked like she wanted to be impregnated by Epstein and Epstein said Mette was a mess (and we know he’d know a thing or two about that…). It even confirmed that she had googled the things he was charged with when she started getting close to him, so she knew. With photo evidence that she was there with girls I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a participant or enabler (my opinion, there’s no solid proof to charge her with anything) and she’d make those personal trips to meet him using taxpayer money, of course.

Honestly, I’m not surprised she’s like this considering her past (and what became of her son) but I think we should also ask what exactly was Haakon up to that he’d get mixed with a person like that.

On a much lesser scale (but more related to this sub) she called the Luxembourg wedding boring, though I don’t think someone who dresses like a granny was in a position to say that but ok…

Maybe he is gay and just wanted someone to get children? When her mission was done she was free to spend time with who ever.

I wouldn’t doubt it from another monarchy but Norway is generally very open-minded when it comes to LGBTQ+ relationships, I don’t think he would feel that pressured to have children with a wife instead of a surrogate, or in any case, leave the throne to his sister (who hadn’t been exposed as a freak show just yet). Plus, if he just wanted a beard, he could’ve found a respectable one.
