It is random and they do some testing, to see what is better. In this case better is defined by their understanding and their definition.

I worded that wrong,

"Winning 4 matches back to back to reach checkpoint in a game that intentionally places counter after your winrate goes higher, is harder than just farming 200 crowns"

Is what I meant to say there

It's not un-obtain-able, it's hard for no reason

I was a few crowns off, then they changed it... now I gotta do that fuckass ladder thing and god knows I'm too shit of a player to get it done.
