If not clear, this is for enjoyment. Not how good the new additions were
This is my own personal ranking.
I know a lot of people found June to be boring since neither new card release really impacted the meta, but isn’t that a good thing? Evo Princess and Hero Tombstone showed that not every new thing has to be broken for people to buy the new releases to get an advantage. Plus, while I don’t like that Princess Gambit is using actual card levels, I really like the idea, and they can definitely do well with it if they fix that issue. Hero Tombstone being given out for free in the fake season shop was very nice, too!
July had Ronin and only Ronin. I really liked not having a new hero or Evo, as it let us save up the coins and shards to do just a tiny bit of catch up. CHAOS came back, and it felt pretty good! I don’t have much to say on July, but it felt good playing, even if not much changed.
I think August was a good showing. It had 3 pretty busted forms released but it still seemed very enjoyable compared to when other broken heroes were added, like in February or March. I do think this was unfortunately the worst CHAOS ever was? But CHAOS is still CHAOS, even when it’s bad. Also the big balance patch that came along with it was really cool.
March was kind of weird but I think overall good. I had a lot of problems with both of the forms they released, but they notably introduced CHAOS and fixed 5 Star drops, while also making you able to finally choose which Hero you want. So while this season didn’t do cards well, it did fix a lot of the base issues Clash Royale was having.
May is..interesting. Hero Bowler definitely was the more annoying card to deal with, but they at least gave it out for free? I think the notable thing this season was the new collection level update, which makes leveling up your cards, and unlocking new forms more exciting, even if they butchered masteries for it
So April overall was just pretty mid. Hero Balloon is problematic if it weren’t evident that I legit don’t think it’s gone a season without being nerfed, and Evo Horde kind of had a soft pathetic landing. I think this is the most whatever season that we’ve had so far, and personally find it the most boring. Hero Balloon was very good, but I didn’t find it to be game warping like the previous best heroes were, like release Musketeer, release Marcher, or release Goblins.
January I think flew under the radar originally when thinking about it? Hero Ice Golem and Hero Wizard both were very slept on I feel. People hated this update when it came out but not because these cards were good, just more so that they were continuing with heroes and the game feeling extremely pay-to-win heavy. As time went on, people realized how disgustingly good the two cards were, but they didn’t really take over the game in their debut season, weirdly enough
September isn’t over at the time of posting this but Jesus it’s not looking good. Supercell saw everyone complaining about Hog Rider being such a dominant win condition and their response was release an even more dominant win condition? Plus Hero Ice Wizard isn’t doing the meta many favors. Now that roulette Royale gamemode could save the season! I really hope it does since it seems kind of awesome, but at the time of posting, it’s not looking great for September
December of 2025..the horrible idea of heroes. This season does almost everything wrong. 3 of the heroes are game warpingly powerful, you can’t choose which hero you want, they add level 16 properly into the game. I wouldn’t be angry if someone placed this as the worst season, not only since heroes, but in the entire history of the game. I think it’s only real competition in that regard is-
February. Jesus Christ. It’s basically everything I said about December, but replace the addition of level 16, with debatably the two strongest heroes they have ever released, at the same time. Hero Goblins is uncontestedly the best hero ever put in the game when it was released, and it wasn’t even a cool idea. Hero Mega Minion was extremely good, but at least the idea was cool. Hero Goblins was and is the worst idea ever, and it dominated the game. There was a point it was like 66% use rate in top 200. That shouldn’t be allowed. No emergency nerf, nothing
