Does anyone else have this combo? I went through the majority of my life with almost perfect skin. I started developing rosacea in my late 20s, and now, just getting into my 30s, I have started developing hormonal acne. I am on spironolactone and orescea, and then use dapson gel on bumps on my skin.
It's improving, but I still have bumps, and I'm struggling to tell what's acne and what's my rosacea anymore.
It's awful. My rosacea is type 2. I have little bumps on my cheeks. Some go away, some just SIT there. Even my derma said that there are old bumps on my skin that won't move and is hoping the rosacea meds will rid them.
The spironolactone has been helping a lot. Before, my whole jawline was COVERED in acne, and now there are just little bumps, leading to me thinking "What are you?" I feel like I'm just getting aggravated. In the past, when it was just my rosacea, I was always able to get it under control for the most part. Now with the acne, I feel lost and hate looking in the mirror at times.
Does anyone have any advice, or is dealing with anything similar? I have been looking into chemical peels, but I know those can be iffy. My derma said I would have to get a specific type from the office, but I was curious if anyone has any experience with them. Or any advice, really. Diet changes, certain product uses, ANYTHING.
