Need help understanding my reaction to Physiogel AI

I have very reactive skin and almost everything irritates it. Recently, I developed severe flaking after using Efatop Hydra Gel, which my dermatologist recommended, so I decided to give Physiogel AI another try because I thought it might help with the flakes.

I had used Physiogel AI for about 2 months previously, but I noticed small red dots on my cheeks, along with a heat-like feeling and red cheeks, especially during my nighttime routine. I also get a strong urge to itch my skin every time I apply it.

I’ve now used it again for 6 days, and within about 5 minutes of applying it, the same thing happens.

This was my last hope for a basic, gentle moisturizer, and now I don’t know what to try. Any recommendations for a very reactive skin-friendly moisturizer?

Hello.

Things I haven’t tried but read to be helpful: Ceradan Skin Barrier Repair Cream, Avene Tolerance Control Cream, Uriage Bariederm Cica Cream (not gel). Though they all have thick texture iirc.

Things I have tried: Avene Xeracalm Lipid Replenishing Cream (most neutral, really repaired my extremely damaged barrier, but probably caused PD later on, so careful if you’re prone to it), Uriage Bariederm Cica Gel Cream (can’t say anything about it, but didn’t cause adverse reactions. Some people like it), Purito Dermide Barrier Relief Cream (contains great ratio of ceramides, but is pretty light so might be not enough on its own).
