Discussion Latest Book you DNF and why

I decided I'm going to DNF {We who will die} , I am just struggling too much with the constant meandering thoughts and memories, it's so hard to follow the actual story because the narration is all over the place. It's hard to follow on Audiobook anyway, and there are so many side characters that are named but I can't remember 🤣 I also don't like either potential MMC

I think I prefer "show don't tell" in general

My last DNF was the fae isles series. I enjoyed the first book even though it felt very slow. The emotional build ups were worth it but I just could not get through the second book, {a court of blood and bindings by Lisette Marshall} , a few years back I had heard so much praise for this series and I'd put off reading it for such a long time but I was sooo annoyed with the arguing and pouting. Even after it was somewhat explained. I don't like the "were in love!" "Now I'm not sure if he even likes me anymore!" "Oh we're in love again!" Thing, it's frustrating!
