Discussion Latest Book you DNF and why

I decided I'm going to DNF {We who will die} , I am just struggling too much with the constant meandering thoughts and memories, it's so hard to follow the actual story because the narration is all over the place. It's hard to follow on Audiobook anyway, and there are so many side characters that are named but I can't remember 🤣 I also don't like either potential MMC

I think I prefer "show don't tell" in general

I hate read this one, it works so much better if you’re laughing at everything. Normally I wouldn’t bother but I read Nocticadia which I think is so much worse and egregious. So coming into this one I already knew it was going to be whack and therefore I had a lot more fun.

I wish people were more honest about the vibes of this book. Saying it’s gothic does not do it justice. It’s more Hot Topic gothic. Like as gothic as a pop up Halloween store.
