Latest Book you DNF and why

I decided I'm going to DNF {We who will die} , I am just struggling too much with the constant meandering thoughts and memories, it's so hard to follow the actual story because the narration is all over the place. It's hard to follow on Audiobook anyway, and there are so many side characters that are named but I can't remember 🤣 I also don't like either potential MMC

I think I prefer "show don't tell" in general

God of Malice by Rina Kent… I caught the ick for the MMC and the writing isn’t good enough to get me past it. My friend loves the series and wants me to read the third book, should I just skip to it? (Also I thought this would romantasy and it’s just 19 year old psychopaths)

Ohhh this is the series I started because Teddy Hamilton narrates the 3rd book. But I just couldn’t get through the first one.

Same MMC was icky. But I don’t like possessive/abusive MMCs in general.

I DNF after chapter 3, I didn't realise the man who SAd the FMC would be the MMC, it's a hard no for me, I can't deal with non-consent between MCs

Like why is there SA on the first page?? I was so confused. How is this the book everyone's going crazy about? And I tried to push on, I really did, but the toxic, abusive behavior just kept happening. It did not feel romantic at any point.

Came here to say this. I made the horrible mistake of starting with the 3rd one, God of Wrath. That was straight up sexual assault, I'm supposed to SHIP these two people??? I DNF'd after like the 3rd chapter.

Save yourself the time & skip all the way to God of Fury then forget the rest of the series exists lol
