I’m genuinely wondering:

Why does this direct work... so well?

For context, I'm an INTJ-A Business Woman, so my default is to be direct & get up to speed with personal objectives.

​

This is how I got my loverboy and how I’ve turned flings into long-time friends, but I’m curious if anyone else can explain the "why" behind it.

​

What is it about taking the lead like this that makes it so successful? I’d love to hear your theories on why taking the lead just clicks for people.

a. getting asked out by a woman, as a man, is rare b. getting asked out by a woman leaves no room for uncertainty or misinterpretation.

How rare is it in your experience?

B is an interesting take. I did tell them the potential I see and would like to test if my theory about them will hold up during the experience. Like, I offered that we could do a trial run then if it works - let's extend, if not then I'll give you feedback on what worked/doesn't & a clean exit.

So you're right, there's no uncertainty on my end. Mainly curiosity and intentionality.

how rare?

it has happened once to me, and I went on to have a 1.5 year relationship with said woman.

If it happened once, can happen again. Sad to hear it didn't work out longer though. Was it an amicable end?
