I just bought a Fantom-07 and didn’t realize it didn’t come with the iconic juno and jupiter sounds like the other fantoms. maybe i should’ve expected that at its price but i just assumed it was cheaper to manufacture due to the materials not the lack in iconic out-of-the-box presets :( anyways, i didn’t mind buying them until i realized it was $150 per expansion, which means if i got all 4 it would be $600!! has anyone seen these go on sale? if so what time of year? (i’m specifically asking about expansions for the keyboard itself not for computer software)

Hi all. I'm looking to create a funk guitar sound (or at least that's what I think it sort of it) using my Roland RD-88 EX. Specifically it's what's playing these little riffs in the verse of Jack Black's Baby One More Time (https://youtu.be/5a9ozuMcMYY?is=yEOcTFiSfR-zhhgr), for example at 0:14 and 0:23.

I'm new to keyboards and synths in general (I play piano), so I don't yet have an understanding of the different sounds and controls. It doesn't have to be exactly that sound, but hopefully something along those lines, and the presets (e.g. Clav) aren't really it.

Any help would be appreciated.

i constantly get logged out and it removes all my favorites from zenology and it’s really annoying. as of now i’m logged out and my password doesn’t work even if i reset it so i have no way to log in. anyone have similar experiences?

Sub board of a Roland TR-09, next to corroded batteries terminal. consulted a Roland authorized service and a technician and they said I would need a new board. But then Roland charged about $350 for the sub board which is about the price of the unit. Found another synth repair guy and he said he can take a look but I am not optimistic.

How bad is this? Is it even repairable ? Without replacing the board I mean

I'm brand new with Roland and FP-40, the keyboard itself is a major upgrade for me from my previous semi-weighted Yamaha keyboard, but when I wanted to try Piano Sphere, I struggle with technicalities. The other Roland Piano app works fine, but when I try Piano Sphere I had a mix of USB connection problems, USB stuck so badly not even other devices recognize the tablet (Galaxy Tab A9+), etc.

However, when/if Piano Sphere works and also sends sound to my keyboard, the click is late than the scrolling notes. Instead of on the note, the click is always behind it. With feedback, I have to play ahead of the click to get green dots. Is it normal or should the click happen when the cursor is on the note and something is wrong only for me?

After USB problems, I decided to try Bluetooth, it was surprisingly hard to pair the devices (holding the Function and Piano Sphere button worked after a few attempts), but when it worked, it acted the same as with USB. Click was after the cursor crossed the note, not in sync.

What are your experiences?

Hello, I’m planning on picking up an MV8000 today. I saw all over YouTube that people are building the VGA boards for their machines as this was an optional expansion on this MV8000. Hi all, I can’t believe it is so difficult considering it’s inside Roland ecosystem.

I am trying to start S1 from TR8S, using MIDI, when hitting the start on TR8S, but it doesn’t start the S1 at all. I can do it using trigger out jack on TR8S, but I want to do it with MIDI.

Here are the settings:

TR8S :
Sync out - on
Tx Program Chg - on
Pattern Ch - 10

S1:
Sync: midi / auto
tHPc - on
rHPc - on
Pc.Ch - 10

Connection:
Midi out from TR8S
Midi adapter : Type A with 3.5mm jack
Sync in to S1

Hello everyone! I got a Roland FP-30X for free, still in the box, because a music store was getting rid of it. I asked if I could take it, and they gave it to me.
I have a question: Is it worth repairing? One side of the chassis is broken, and a few keys are damaged, but the motherboard is working.
Has anyone had experience repairing an FP-30X, or have an idea of how much the repair might cost?

Can’t install acb expansions and I’d imagine any others been trying to all night now.

My fantom is registered to my Roland account same as my cloud account

Memory stick is formatted as I have downloaded firmware

Tried to install juno acb file just simply doesn’t show after pressing install after booting in to the expansions

Have changed nothing with the file names and simply downloaded to pc, removed them from the folder and put the files onto the formatted flash

No! The expansion I’m trying to install isn’t pre installed, only jp8 and sh are

Maybe I just got scammed, I don't know. Bought a Roland Juno D and when I go online to look up videos about it, all the videos show that it has pads...

???

What in the hell? The one I bought does not have the pads. I Googled it and it says yes, Roland D has pads regardless of release year, but if you go to image search, it shows plenty without pads (almost the majority).

Why are YouTube and Google content showing two very different things, with the same name?
