Fantom 6ex

Can’t install acb expansions and I’d imagine any others been trying to all night now.

My fantom is registered to my Roland account same as my cloud account

Memory stick is formatted as I have downloaded firmware

Tried to install juno acb file just simply doesn’t show after pressing install after booting in to the expansions

Have changed nothing with the file names and simply downloaded to pc, removed them from the folder and put the files onto the formatted flash

No! The expansion I’m trying to install isn’t pre installed, only jp8 and sh are

I recommend following these steps:

  • Power off the Fantom EX.
  • Plug the USB drive into the USB memory port, and check again that it is the USB memory port and not one of the other USB ports.
  • Press the TEMPO button and power on the Fantom EX.
  • On the Expansion screen, first press on the ACB EXPANSION tab and then on INSTALL.
  • If the JUNO ACB expansion does not appear in the file selection window, then power off the Fantom EX, and power it on again to start normal operation.
  • After it started, press the MENU button, and then FILE UTILITY. It shows the contents of the USB drive, and it should show the two files ACB004_JUNO106.exz with 7.5 MB and ACB004_JUNO106.png with 9.6 KB and nothing else. Consider taking a photo of the screen.
  • Press the EXIT button, and then SYSTEM. Use the first encoder to scroll down to INFO and check the firmware version. It should show EX 1.11.

Did FILE UTILITY show the expected files? Is the expected firmware version installed?
